eniola1010: The applicant, would have to legally divorce the dependant..... The divorce can be done in the UK, but after the divorce, the dependants visa would be curtailed and would have to return to Nigeria (not unless the dependent got a claim of abuse) etc etc.... If that's the case, be prepared to pay a good lawyers bill ........ The applicant can remarry in the UK, but a decree nisi must be in place before marriage or home office would not issue a marriage license............ Make Una think am well ........ It's not that easy ......🤣😂😜 5 Likes |

eniola1010: It's a mistake that MUST be avoided at all cost (where possible)...….... We see the signs before, but we ignore ....... Hoping we can change them/or they would magically change......... But that singular move, simply grants them an unlimited licence, to grow wild ........... In marriage....... I have been extremely lucky....... Almost 25 years of blossom, peace, prosperity, love, growth etc etc etc.......... 😂😜🤣 19 Likes |

Lexusgs430:It’s a full time role that I secured while I was a student, but didn’t resume until I graduated in September due to restrictions on my hours to work as a student. I have only worked for 3 months and about rounding off my probation period before all these wahala. I don’t want to get sacked because I need them as reference. That’s my worry. I hope everything gets sorted soon. I’ll give an update after the disciplinary meeting. Thanks everyone! |

Can't agree more with the bolded. #Professionalism in all, at all ... If they called a compliance meeting, that might be understandable. However, going outright to disciplinary with a threat of dismissal, is over the board. Must be defended vehemently. ACAS is the first step before Employment Tribunal. ACAS doesn't mean you must go to Employment Tribunal after either. However, approaching ACAS is not simply to get back at an employer but a necessary advisory step. It assists both parties. ACAS offers early conciliation (if the intent is to approach the Employment Tribunal at a later stage). ACAS also offers mediation support with an end goal of mending relationship at work (from work disagreement). In any case, ACAS or no ACAS guidance or involvement, facts are critical. Ensure you have all your documentary evidences with you for your so called disciplinary 'meeting'. Pay attention to all the pointers you've received on your post here: such as from Mimilyrics, Poanan, AlphaUno, Lexusgs430 and all I did not tag. All the best. Keep calm, it shall comes out all good! mimilyrics: |

When our people gets to 'saner clime', they gets surrounded with or get involved with people, or with bloggers/YouTubers that makes it all rosy to be 'independent' all of a sudden. Interestingly, more often than not, the independence isn't much of financial independence but 'freedom' (to go wild). That's not to say that indeed there're not some that are truly oppressed (or even abused in the true word). Any of the party, including the man can lay a defence. When you do, the plaintiff, claimant would soon see it's not all easy as they portrayed it to be to them. This often when its the wanna be independent gang. More often, especially for the men, the non-abusive ones, they are made to fear and they don't put up credible defence during the process. That a wanna be independent spouse decided to call police on you or file for so-called divorce doesn't mean you are stripped of your rights. So much that you sulked up and not do the needful. Unfortunately, it's often too late to start to gather credible evidences. If you're truly non-abusive, you'll get through as soon as the signs starts to show 🔂. Ifura logun agba For the Christians in the house, may it be, through God's grace according to the song ... God gives us Christian home .... To all, may we all build a lasting home. hustla: Switching before completing the course is abusing the system. Of course people are free to do it as it's legal but it's clearly a huge problem as those people take up spaces and then abscond thereby leaving the unis out of pocket but also depriving other people who genuinely want to study of the space since the unis cannot recruit ad-hoc after admission cycles. I had a chat with an entry officer on my way back in from a trip recently and it's clear people are aware that the route is being abused. I just hope when the remedy comes it won't be too strong a shift to restrictions and loss of the current opportunities, because I know people will start screaming racism or 'right-wing' even though what has been happening is not something that they would entertain in their own countries. |

Please I need help in getting a temporary Accomodation in Glasgow. The Airbnb I’ve been seeing are expensive. Also, how do I go about getting a 1 room for myself and partner that doesn’t share bathroom but rather with a private bathroom. Can you advise me on transportation to book from London(Heathrow airport) to Glasgow. Arrival time is around 4:30pm. I saw British Airways for 9:00pm but they won’t allow me carry the full luggage(23kg*2) except for business class which is costly. Thank you |

koonbey: Well said. Presumably if the student switches visa mid course, then they do not have to pay any outstanding uni fees? If so then it's obvious why the universities will support a ban on visa switching, and why the government might take the view that it opens up the system to abuse by "fake" students. |

All you need to do is to 1. visit the link - https://www.gov.uk/apply-immigration-health-surcharge-refund 2. Fill out the required information. 3. Input NI number instead of BRP number 4. Provide the payslips for that period that you're claming for. 5. Wait for a response on the success of your application. If successful, it will be refunded to the card/account from which the payment was taken. Note: As long as she worked in healthcare for the period for which she claims and has corresponding payslips, she should be refunded. skealoo: 8 Likes |

Hi family, happy new month. Please can I get your opinions and guidance on this matter.. A new family in my city here (Man , wife and 3 kids (2 girls and 1 boy) moved in October. Man is a a student and wife just started care job today. Their son who is the eldest goes to a school close-by, but the girls have to wait till September for a space so they had to secure another school 6 miles away. This new school sends a taxi to pick the girls everyday at the cost of the school. I am worried this may be public funds. I said they should confirm that this would not cause some trouble in future. I asked the woman again yesterday and she said her husband said it is not, but pleaded I help her verify. Biko my people, are they safe with this free taxi Is it a trap? Is it public funds @Lexusgs430 @Justwise And anybody bikonu 1 Like |
