It is obvious that the purpose of redesigning the naira has been totally defeated. We have seen how terrorists flaunt bales of the new naira notes while soldiers defending the country and innocent people doing their legitimate daily businesses are yet to have adequate access to the new notes.
We were made to believe that the redesigning would make politicians who have piled up stock of the old notes for vote buying during elections and terrorists who are in possession of large volumes of the old notes collected as ransom from kidnapped victims run into huge loss by the time the old notes become unusable.
Now after making innocent people deposit their money into the banks expecting to receive the new notes, everyone becomes cashless as both old and new notes become inaccessible to the people whereas politicians and terrorists whom the redesign was said to be targeted against have more than abundance of the new notes, no thanks to dubious bankers that supply the politicians (some of whom are terrorists' financiers) at a fee through the backyard who inturn find a way of transporting part of it to the terrorists who they have been breeding for possible use during the elections.
