in the church i attend , baskets are passed around when it is time for offering and no one stands when it is on. It gets to you and you dont want to give , you just pass it on

giving is meant to meet the needs of the church. It is not supposed to be just to collect blessing. So you think you are giving so god would bless you? God is only blessing you for meeting a need, not for gut giving for the blessing. If you want to give you can give to the widows and poor. The pastor said the church has no need and that is ok.
