Please I would like to ask this question , for the gurus in the House , As an International Student In the UK with a Valid Visa , I would like to ask is it possible to apply to the United States for a Visit Visa , even without going to a Schengen country , Just to a tourist Visa to the United States and what are the chances of getting the visa |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by Mrmoney90: 10:39pm On Feb 08, 2023 |
Mattinno: It’s a 50-50 thing. Just be able to answer all questions thrown at you during the interview and also be able to show proof of being a student in the Uk, probably a letter from your school head of department. How much you have for the trip. Your trip should take place during school holidays too. |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by Ashirioluwa: 11:08pm On Feb 08, 2023 |
Mattinno: You certainly can. Your chances of securing a US visa are higher if you apply from the UK while you are a student because they know or believe that you’re not going to abandon your education. Also, the longer appointment wait times in Nigeria make it preferable to try it in the UK. Currently, the appointment waiting times for B1/B2 visas in the UK and Nigeria are as follows: London, UK - 78 calendar days. Belfast, UK - 115 calendar days. Lagos, Nigeria - 480 calendar days. Abuja, Nigeria - Emergency appointment only 1 Like 1 Share |

Mummywifey: Your aunty didn’t state the source of her funds. The ECO noted that large sums were deposited into her account within the months prior to her visa application, which was a wrong move on her end. She should be able to total how much she gets from her kids and relatives accurately. I think getting money from her kids should be the strongest for her, not even from the relatives. The monies from her kids should be stable and substantial enough as that will be used as her source of income since she doesn’t work. Take note of the things the ECO hammered on. Bank statement without official bank name, meaning the bank statement might be doctored according to the ECO. In her next application, if she still doesn’t work, she can explain why with concrete reasons. She can’t reapply immediately. Her circumstance seems bad. She needs to work on that before she can reapply again. She should just be patient. These guys watch the japa thing on social media and that is what I think they use to access applications. Every applicant to them is liable to JAPA. So application that is not straightforward, they will just shout JAPA! And refuse the visa 😂 The part that says “how much will you be spending on the trip”, she can either put £10 or the total cost of the trip. Since someone else is paying towards the trip, there is a part that asks if there is someone else paying towards this trip and how much? She can put the sponsor’s name as well as the total cost of the trip. If she puts £10, she should make sure she adds it to the total cost of trip o. The sponsor should also write a letter stating the full sponsorship and why. Again, what ties does she have to Nigeria? Consider these things before she reapplies again, maybe in the next 6 months to one year. |

Below is the message I received today for my minor nephew I applied for. Dear xxxxxxxxx Thank you for your visa/entry clearance application which has been received and is under consideration. We aim to process non settlement applications within 15 working days and settlement applications within 60 working days (unless you have opted for a Priority Visa service). We are unable to resolve your application within these customer service targets, due to operational restrictions. Please be assured that we will continue to progress your application to enable a decision to be made as soon as possible. Please do not attend the application centre until you have been contacted by the VAC. |

My business name is showing inactive on CAc portal because of annual returns. Can I still apply on tourist visa with my CAC certificate even if inactive |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by dirolad(m): 4:14am On Feb 10, 2023 |
jeslom:unless the ECO didn't verify it, if he/she does check, then they are refusing that your business is not active and trading or generating profit.

Hi everyone. Please has anyone submitted 3months bank statement for tourist visa and gotten approved? |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by infosoftlife: 7:12am On Feb 10, 2023 |
jeslom: Honestly, it depends on the ECO. But I will advise you not to take that risk. Try and fix it before your application. |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by infosoftlife: 7:14am On Feb 10, 2023 |
Teegal215: Are you working with a popular multinational? It can be approved but don't take that risk if your answer is NO to my question below. |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by infosoftlife: 7:27am On Feb 10, 2023 |
dirolad: Even if this is my job filing annual returns for applicants, I will be honest here. It depends on when the business is registered and the applicant's profile (A solid tie to Nigeria and a valid reason for traveling). It's not in their immigration law that every business must be "active" with CAC. If the business has an audited statement of account and current FIRS TCC, he/she stands a chance of convincing the ECO that the business is active. There is a reason they haven't introduced AI to screening applicants. |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by Teegal215: 7:44am On Feb 10, 2023 |
infosoftlife: Not multinational but popular in my region. But I have an extensive travel history which includes multiple UK and US trips and Canada (I currently have valid US and Canada visa). A lump sum was paid into my account and I don’t have enough time to build it for 6months. After taking the lump sum out, I can get 3months statement. Do you know anyone who has applied with 3months bank statement and gotten the visa |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by infosoftlife: 8:56am On Feb 10, 2023 |
Teegal215: That was in the past. I don't know anyone who recently got approved under such conditions. You can always be the first to get approved this year. You can submit 3 months' bank statement and 6 months' payslip. Your extensive travel history will be in your favor. But remember to provide sufficient information during your application. SHALOM! |

Teegal215: Sure I have, heck I've seen applicants not even submit bank statements and they got granted the visa. Now I'm not saying you should do that, but if they requested for 6months statement then it's best you give them that. Don't be scared about lump sums, provided you can justify them and prove they weren't paid to make your statement look good. If you have a good travel history and you've demonstrated that you aren't a flight risk then I'd say go for the 3-months statement. 2 Likes |

Good afternoon bosses in the house. I haven't been in the best of moods lately as I got a refusal mail for my Student's Visa, from UKVI yesterday, 64 days after biometrics. Even though I have accepted my fate and trying to move on, I still feel cheated by UKVI. I'd appreciate your words of support and advice on the way forward.... kindly find screenshot of decision letter. I don't know if it is a good news or not, but the refusal allows for administrative review. The reason I am not sure it's a good news is that deadline for enrollment stated on CAS is February 13th (Monday). I would appreciate your advise. Would opting for administrative review yield favourable results considering that deadline stated on CAS is this Monday, can UKVI still find a way around this to favour me or should I seek to defer my admission till next available intake for my course and reapply for my VISA?.. My financial institution claims they haven't gotten any correspondence from UKVI and they don't understand why they are claiming so. So, who con dey lie? Would that not mean I'm letting go too easily of which I would have to still start the processes all over again except for IHS that would be refunded? Kindly advise me gurus in the house. God bless you as you do.

Personally I would complain to UKVI if you are absolutely sure they did not contact your bank, may I ask if your bank is a Microfinance bank? Tboy243: |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by Ashirioluwa: 4:51pm On Feb 10, 2023 |
jeslom: Before you apply, make sure your company or business is active on the CAC portal because they occasionally check to see if it is active or not. |

if u go for admin review u cant meet up with February deadline.. even if u reapply with priority u cnt meet up with a feb 13 deadline. This problem looks like u used microfinance bank and that’s a big issue on its own as 10 out of 10 times they are unreachable. Sorry about the situation |
