Fcmb put a new Naira note in the ATM machine with the nylon seal thereby preventing it from dispensing

Sterling Bank are hoarding almost 300million Naira in their vault in Abuja and they are telling the customers that there was no cash until efcc burst them

One bank in oshogbo having 29million in their bank and refuse to load the ATM machine for people claiming there was no cash until they were bursted.

these banks are hoarding the money and selling it to the highest bidder

Sir, can you now make a case for the banks??
So are the banks against this policy or benefitting from it?

This vote buying narrative is the most silly narrative I can ever imagine. So are we going to be changing the design of naira notes every election to curb vote buying?
It's not. A certain presidential candidate was exposed to have stashed billions of naira to buy votes and that must not be allowed to happen.
The currency change needs to be done just once you twart the efforts of that candidate and, by the next elections, a better alternative will come.

If Tinubu is truly Jagaban as he claims to be, why doesn't he test his popularity at the polls of a free and fair election?

Oh! I remember, he said he's ready to fight dirty and desperately

Nigeria must pay a price to pave a way for a better Nigeria. The suffering is much, I agree but let's bear this currency thing till after elections. If vote buying comes in play after the currency swap is suspended then we will have the wrong candidate buy votes, come in , and plum the country into more suffering for another 8 years.

On the flip side, the hunger and suffering from the scarcity of cash may have been designed to reset the brains of the f.oolish ones who still haven't learnt anything from voting in the wrong people.

There is a saying that where two brothers always agreef on every matter, then they always don't discuss serious matter. Once people in power are always agreed, then the followers will be at lost. The real Juju is affecting people who think CBN is doing the right thing by trying to force cashless policy in a country where network is always bad.

Even if the United Nations and European Union come to supervise this coming elections, there's no way Peter Obi can win. It is not about the fairness of the elections, it's accepting that your Candidate is weak nationally. Now, that doesn't call for cursing and abuse, if indeed we're the Democrats we claim to be!

Dont mind those illiterates.Buhari has issued a lot of executive orders that the governors did not follow and the heaven did not fall.
Supreme Court is the highest law in any nation of the world. If the president goes against it then the governors will continue spending the money in their various states which is lawful.
The international world will take Buhari as a rogue president if he does that. Then there will be anarchy..

Very heartless CSOs!!! Why wasn't executive order invoked to stop herdsmen from killing innocent Nigerians in their farms and in their sleep Why wasn't executive order invoked to create ranches and put all herdsmen in it?

I have seen it! After Buhari's tenure, herdsmen were stones out of settlement across Nigeria!

Don't mind all these illiterates who have been responding to you.

The president is not a king nor is he a dictator. He cannot override any Court judgement talk more of the Apex Court. Only a higher Court can revoke a lower Court's judgement. The supreme Court is the top Court and the final stop.

The supreme Court can even revoke a presidential order. One of Buhari's orders around 2020 then was revoked by the supreme Court.

They are obviously not law experts, they are a bunch of ignorant and illiterate people, they are supposed to be educating the youths, but they are instead miseducating and misleading them.

The same characters called Buhari a tyrant for not releasing Kanu and others against court order, but now they want him to become a tyrant and a dictator by overturning the decision of the judiciary which is absolutely impossible and grossly unconstitutional.

Some Nigerians are really sick animals, sorry to say.

nor is the supreme court the boss of the presidency/executive branch.

Each arm of govt has its role as clearly delineated in the constitution, But in the current case, the supreme court has attempted to self-aggrandize and self-arrogate the powers of the executive.

The core of the suit is Section 20(3) of the CBN Act 2007:
Notwithstanding sub-sections (1) and (2) of this section, the Bank shall have power, if directed to do so by the President and after giving reasonable notice in that behalf, to call in any of its notes or coins on payment of the face value thereof and any note or coin with respect to which a notice has been given under this sub-section, shall , on the expiration of the notice, cease to be legal tender, but, subject to section 22 of this Act, shall be redeemed by the Bank upon demand.

Plaintiffs claim 3 months is not enough 'reasonable' notice but wait till after the 3 months has passed to challenge it? undecided Only the kangaroo supreme court of Nigeria would entertain such suit

This is just the way to go.

The CBN never acted against the law. This policy is in accordance to the establishment of CBN. Over 90days were given to banks to sort themselves

ASUU were on strike for over 8months, medical practitioners trooping out of the country on daily basis, fuel scarcity of over 6months, killings with impunity everyday, yet, no governor took it to Supreme Court. Our problem is now Naira notes abi? Jokers

The Supreme Court ruling can only stand when there's a breach in the Constitution as it relates to the Cash redesign policy, otherwise, the ruling is arrogant and disrespectful to the CBN, president and the citizenry

Nigerains are just the biggest losers here. Slaves that loves their chains.

Money that has already been transfer to them is what u are saying you want to prevent, buhari did vote buying in 2019 when he won atiku, buhari knew about the BAV but he never wanted to put it in implementation because he wanted to go for a second tenure, now he wants to stop all those corrupt practices which he embark on, it not going to work the old currency will still be used on election day
