The CSOs are encouraging anarchy. Do we as a country have to fight perceived legalities with lawlessness? If Buhari refused to obey to court orders or continues to flay its directives after invoking the so called executive order, they should not complain of executive rascality. |

The courts have quashed executive orders several times. How can executive order override supreme court order now? These ones are mad. |

Romanoff: Exactly my point, the way Tinubu and his gang r vehemently opposing this old naira deadline is quite suspicious. Previously, they have never been on the side of the masses. They've always supported Buhari and encouraged us to bear with this administration stressing that they have good plans. Now,we have seen efforts by Buhari,INEC & CBN to conduct a credible election. The electorate & the opposition parties are commending INEC & CBN but Tinubu is now opposing a good policy. Tinubu's opposition to this policy is simply because it affects his vote buying plans which is his last hope to come 3rd in this election |

ZombieSlayer1: This sounds so silly. This is projection and assumptions. It will not change any thing about vote buying. These guys will get the new naira notes regardless. Innocent masses as suffering because of projection that only one man wants to buy votes. This is Madness!!!! |

danngnews:this is projection... And u know this by how? All this nonsese beer parlor gist? 200million Nigerians should suffer cos you think one man wants to buy votes? Is that not a cosmetic solution. Total madness! |
Re: Override Supreme Court’s judgment, invoke Executive Order — CSOs tell Buhari by ZombieSlayer1: 3:40pm On Feb 09, 2023 |
koboko69:It's not just mere projections. The CBN has said several times that several trillions of naira are missing from circulation. That's a huge sum. Also, the CBN has access to data that you and I don't have so they must have solid reasons for saying people are stacking money to buy votes. They'll get the naira notes to buy votes, that's for sure, but not in the quantity that they would need to make a big impact in the elections |

koboko69: To allow Tinubu win this election illegally means leaving the fate of 200 million in the hand of a crook, forger, drug lord, someone who has no school or class mates till date, yet claims he went to school, did he school with ghosts? Someone who's age is not know, has ealry stages of Parkinson, goofs and talk in strange senseless languages. This kind of man should not get his hands on power in Nigeria, we have suffered enough, yes no one is a Saint, but Tinubu is the worst among those available. |

JohnBullMySon:To suspend the deadline till (at the least) well after it has passed, is to effectively set a new deadline. Hence the Supreme Court has usurped the powers of the executive by effectively changing the deadline. As per the suit itself, the governors claim the 3 months notice provided by the CBN was not 'reasonable' but that notice expired on January 31st (CBN announced on October 26). The governors filed their suit on February 3rd, which is after the expiration of the notice they are contesting and thus their suit should not have been entertained by any court. Even if the Supreme Court wanted to hear the suit, the proper response was to immediately fast track the process, by holding a preliminary hearing in the following days, hearing from both parties, before granting the injuction. Instead, they waited 5 days (suspect to extort higher bribes) to rule on the injuction. But then it is not surprising, given their other extra judicial rulings of recent past There is no democracy in country with a politicized judiciary |

Re: Override Supreme Court’s judgment, invoke Executive Order — CSOs tell Buhari by JohnBullMySon: 12:58am On Feb 10, 2023 |
biina:I think the stay the Supreme Court order was to give the governor s who brought the case a fair chance, the case has not been completed. BTW, every democracy has a political judiciary to an extent. In America you hear about liberal and conservative judges. As long as criminal matters and basic constitutional law is obeyed, everything is okay. |
Re: Override Supreme Court’s judgment, invoke Executive Order — CSOs tell Buhari by udeh3(m): 3:47am On Feb 10, 2023 |
FBS: The CBN even with any court order won't pump still money into the economy for the now. They withdrawn almost all the old notes, say, 80%. Pumping of the money who have been done systematically. The CBN didn't also stop the deadline of old cash return. The deadline was for the returning of the old cash to commercial banks. But if you can't return any money to the commercial bank before 10th, then you can always return it to any of their State offices. The Central Bank will always collect the old notes from you and perhaps give you the new note equivalent. So, as usual, the banks is sabotaging the efforts via politicians. Even you check, majority of politicians crying fouls here are the ruling party Beside, Supreme Court can't order CBN. It's an entity operating under a law. They can only do that when they breach any law, reason they're not part of the suit. So, the issue is actually between the governors and the presidency. Suing the CBN for the Naira policy is also like suing a police man reporting to the station in carrying out his required duties. The CBN actually gave 100days to the commercial banks. Every other issues here is pure politics |

koboko69: Story, Obi has classmates, even Atiku has class mate, I repeat who in this world went to same. school with Tinubu? Did he study with ghosts or was he the only student of his so called school? "A town hall different from balablu, bluuu, bulaba. Trembling and shaky fingers, am man who was been held by security men during campaigns rallies so he would not fall. A man who kicked microphone when asked to test the mic probably thinking he was asked to taste it like sweet, litany of goofs, shame of a party and nation, what more proofs do you need? All I have listed can easily be verified by anyone. The hardest job in this world is to sell Tinubu as a President, you must lose your sense of reasoning first. |
