This's the moment a Nigerian asked CBN help desk if deadline for the old naira note would be extended.

See, people's reaction online.

God help us.

The deal breaker isn't using it amongst ourselves, it's the inability to deposit it in the banks once the deadline elapses. So if you have 1m naira of the old currency, that's 1m naira that can't be deposited into your account.

When the reality of this whole situation would dawn on people is when you walk into the banks with your old currency after the deadline tomorrow and the additional deadline given by CBN, and they bounce you and your money out.

Oga always read to comprehend. Nobody is a prophet of doom here. I never said the old currency would not be used as medium of exchange after the 10th deadline.

The question we should all be asking is what would happen on Monday when you take these old notes to the commercial bank to deposit it into your account.

Seeing that the CBN is unmoved by the supreme Court verdict, it's safe to say that the commercial banks would not accept the old notes.

Although another option would be to go deposit it at CBN, but just be prepared for the scrutiny you'd receive there.

Banks will collect old and new notes on Monday, not even emefiele can stop. If you doubt me, let's place a bet.
Your statement that I quoted was trying to create panic when a matter had already been resolved. Supreme Court gave an order and you in your little hole feel you know more than SC.
