It's about smart play. Cucu needs to have an intention to run down the flank. The moment he can think that, he plays the ball to Mudryk's feet, receive it back, then create a triangle of play with Felix who is always supporting, run down the flank, causing Bowen to run after him, thus freeing Mudryk to be dangerous.

It is exactly what James is doing on the right. Except Chick is always looking backwards to Boda 80% of the time.
