You love suffering. I feel so sorry for you with this kind of comment. What do you gain by this kind of attitude? Do you know you can go to jail for rejecting notes that is still a legal tender?

Confused federal government, the banks are rejecting old naira notes since Friday evening and your supreme Court wants people to continue to spend it?

Do we have 2 different economies inside the same Nigeria.

Name the banks and the state, and also the bank branches.

There is no need extending the date since the masses has already implemented the fiscal reforms πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚[/quote

Is it a wise decision to reject the old naira notes when the new notes are yet to be fully circulated?

Customers are always right and they are going to complain bitterly about this hurriedly made decision.

How would they operate flawlessly when the new notes are still scarce,it means they have to rely on bank transfer which is going to be complicated by the unavailability of internet fluctuating at the moment of transfer.

They will face serious challenge when they are transferring money through POS.

The best option is to collect the old notes and the new notes concurrently.

It is not yet February 17, they should collect the old notes.

Unless you are going to bank in your mattress, then you can't do this. People are still accepting it now because they have not yet gone to the bank. Wait till Monday morning and people are unable to deposit the old notes and watch the mass rejection of the notes.

The old notes will continue to be the legal tender until it goes out of circulation naturally over time. This is the confidence most of us have. Wait for it.!

Many shunning it dont know about the supreme court order so stop spreading lies, the old notes are the notes being circulated presently in the country, any attempt from CBN at stopping of rejecting the old notes would lead to total anarchy and people will die, banks and businesses will be set ablaze and even the CBN would be attacked,do not mess with the mind of an angry ordinary simple Nigerian,in my area in warri, delta state, some.fuel stations initially wanted to reject it yesterday morning but they eventually started accepting in the afternoon this matter big pass as some of una dey reason am o, nobody ready to lose money o,so if CBN talk anyhow, banks and bankers will receive violence o and if security agents come.out and begin fire people ehn,the country go turn upside down o,na civil war go happen.

oh....i know about d supreme court shenenighans....Unless expressly stated by CBN dat d old naira notes is still a legal tender, I won't accept shishi old notes from anybody, U either transfer, bring new notes or take a hike....I would not risk my hard earned money on politicians & a partisan court...Banks answer to CBN, court can't force CBN to do shyt when it comes to monetary issues 😀

Banana Republic

Nothing like against the CBN policy.

CBN leadership was supposed to address Nigerians on the 10th of February regarding the court ruling n give a direction on what the banks n Nigerians should do but because of incompetency n wickedness they decided to keep mute.

U mean to say Nigeria shunned Emefiele and his evil policy, the title is misleading....its on Friday morning that some Nigerians and fuel stations rejected it, but in the evening ,same Friday fuel stations that rejected old naira notes started collecting it. Till date nobody talks anything again.
