The Governors must not withdraw their case from the supreme court, the legality of this policy must be tested in the apex court.

This report is conflicting; in one breath it says the old notes should be allowed to move freely in & out of the bank & in another breath, says any of the old notes that go into a bank will not be recirculated.

Pray tell, how does this help the present situation? So, business owners who make cash sales in millions of Naira ar expected to hoard them or what coz once they deposit in the bank, it's not coming out?

Or maybe I don't even understand can someone please explain this report to me? Thank you.

Why are you complaining about old or new notes? Is it not the same APC? Isn't it buhari that gave Emefiele the permission to cause chaos in the economy? Is it not the same buhari that Tinubu has been supporting since 2015?

You have just asked the exact question I wanted to ask. The deed has been done already because CBN will never release those old notes we submitted to the banks and the new notes are not enough. So the problem will still continue. The only way to stop this hogwash is to print and pump more new notes into the system.

This won't have much effect because banks have taken away the old notes; probably to CBN who won't release it back to circulation.

Well, let's keep hope rising!
But in truth,the President doesn't need to wait this long because the Supreme Court decision is clear!
In fact,the Apex Justice are waiting and watching to see,if the President will follow the CBN or the Supreme Court!
It's good the President comes out straight,by pronouncement of necessity for the overall Public interest than Emefiele that has device methods of not honouring the Courts!

Read and reason well.

The supreme court justices pronouncements concern the dates for limitations of exchanges of old and new Naira notes are valid in law and its applications because the Supreme court is supreme court to all courts in the Nigerian landscape.

Anybody seeking to trade with the old notes can continue. Anybody seeking to exchange the old notes with new notes can continue till the dates specified by the supreme court in their rulings because it is written down. Don't be a fool.

Anybody that approaches a commercial bank in Nigeria to exchange the old notes with new notes within the specified dates and is refused only need to provide evidence to any other court under the Supreme court of Nigeria jurisdiction to obtain new notes despite CBN directives otherwise somebody is playing with jail time even the executive president of Nigeria can not help such a commercial bank when the supreme court says yes.

Even the so called 22billion Naira in Kano State, if true, is still in a safe hands.

Emefiele and his boss are just playing truancy before the law. They can not get away or over ride written documents of the law.
Buhari obtained the Nigerian presidency through the provisions of the Nigerian law under her judiciary and he is not going to be superior to the same law at any point of its applications.

Rather, the law would be ready to consume whomever is standing in its way of activation and implementation. Nigeria can not be different.
