austinvsb: What do you have to say about the Supreme Court judgement on Nnamdi Kanu where he was discharged and acquitted but the President refused to bail him? Is that one not dictatorship? Or you want to tell us , that Buhari should honor some and refuse some? 3 Likes |

chiefolododo: The executive arm of government has right to challenge the orders of the judiciary. The only corridor open to challenge such orders is appealing via the same judigiary against its ruling.... In any case, the supreme court has the final say... They are the interpreters and implementers of the law... To hell with the executive challenging such authorities BT disregarding it's order. |

The break down of law and order is in the horizon and only a timely effort at nipping it in the bud could avert it as things stand. Now that there are only a pocket of violent protests in some parts of the country, it would do the authorities a lot of good if they addressed this ugly scenario now before things get out of hand. There's a lot of bottled up anger across the land. The twin problems of petrol and Naira scarcity are potential time bombs staring at us in the face even as the authorities continue to play the ostrich. With elections just a couple of days away, any further ugly turn of events could be catastrophic for our much cherished democracy. Human patience has its limits! |

BigBrother9ja: Hate Tinubu? For what? In 2015....you said Igbos hate Buhari..... Howfar? Has Buhari's Government benefited you? You are even crying more than those that you said hated Buhari...lols In 2023 again.....Igbos are saying , they don't like TINUBU...... Had it been , there was no strong Igbo man in the ballot box, Igbos won't go voting for TINUBU as President, rather they will vote for another SOUTHERNER or Northerner who is sane .... Igbos where there for Yaradua, a Northerner , we all saw his performance .... Igbos where there for Jonathan, but your likes and master usedd propaganda to make it look like his government is the worst. But he performed with his economic teams. ... How can someone who foisted, took Buhari to the whole 36 states of Nigeria during campaigns in 2015, come out now to tell us , that the same man he deceived Nigerians to believe , is now a FAILURE ? The same man is coming after all the deaths, hunger, intimidations, insecurities , looting if state funds , high cost of living, high rise of dollar rates , that we witnessed from 2015-2023 in Buhari's government , to tell us that he is the Messiah that will change the situation of Nigeria.... How can a team worker you recommended to me , mess my work up , and you come to tell me, you can fix my work ? Even when I didn't see you , cautioning or questioning who you brought to me Remember , this same man , was there when all those attrocities where going on , even when his brother's Daughter ( a Yoruba lady) was killed by FULANI hearders.. all he could mutter was....( Did they see any cows there?) TINUBU never for once spoke on the dictatorship of Buhari Even when Herders stated killing and rapping Ogun State women that they started running to Benin Republic, Tinubu never said anything. What kind of a man does that If not a selfish greedy man? . Now, you are coming with the same propaganda of 2015 that Igbos hate Buhari , and you are using it against IGBOs in 2023 .... Oga , I don't hate Tinubu but he is an arrogant selfish, greedy man who doesn't care for me and you. Igbos don't support nonsense, check the track records , whoever Igbos support , does well ... |

See all this olodo AG. Is it rulling or an order? You can't say Supreme court rules because the case has not been heard. Supreme court only gave an order till substantive case is heard. Just trying to make his master happy. 1 Like |

chiefolododo: Then you either don't understand what is meant by the word "supreme" or you don't understand that any order whether presidential or executive for that matter, does not have potency on issues that is still under hearing at a competent court of jurisdiction. Executive orders can come in after the court had made its final rulings, and there by upturn the court's judgement. This is what is obtainable when presidential pardon is granted to criminals. Buhari cannot grant presidential pardon to Abba Kyari (the super corp) while he's still being tried by a competent court of law. That's how it works, and same goes for a case that is still being debated in court. |

Ade3131:the word supreme means that the court is superior to appeal and tribunal courts, not that it is superior to other arms of government |

chiefolododo: Normally, the judiciary (which the supreme court falls under) serves as a check and balance on the other arms of government. So when cases that are being presided upon by the apex court is being upturn right before judgement is pronounced, then where's the checks and balancing that is originally the constitutional power of the court? |
