it's not even about epl and girigiri, I'm talking about the pace of the game. It's easier to thrive in a league where the games are played at a slow pace cuz it gives you the time to think of your next action before decision making.
Of all the top leagues in the world, Serie A has the slowest pace. It's why throwaways like smalling, tomori, Abraham, lakaka are thriving there.

I don't know about others but me I have heard Nigerians in Nigeria call football soccer before in my "short" years of existence.
