okeysoninv: A lot of people make use of this thread and it's always not good enough when you post an unverified information here. Ever heard of recruiting agencies or employment agencies? It's an organization which matches employers to employees and they're very much legal in all countries. Everyone who got their COS through recruiting agencies submitted their CV and did a normal interview. 3 Likes |

Goodday Honourable's, Pls what's The difference between BRP mail and collection mail?? |
Re: UK Skilled Worker Visa / Health And Care Worker Visa / Qualified Teacher Route by meetme01: 7:16am On Feb 19, 2023 |
ezegold4we: In a layman's words - Collection mail as it depicts is a message requesting you to come for your passport. BRP mail is a document explaining your type of visa, stating the number of years, terms and conditions guiding your visa. That mail/document can be called your VISA while the sticker on your passport can be termed approval to go and collect your VISA. If you don't have the BRP, it is not advisable you travel. 2 Likes |

Please, I need your input and that of others.I'm asking for a friend as this was not exactly my case. My friend's husband got a job and applied for tier2 visa along side the wife. The husband has resumed work but wifey still in naija with kids. They did not apply with kids cos the kids passports were not ready. It is ready now and she wants to apply for the kids( she has been granted her visa). When she clicked on apply as child, there is confusion of how to fill. There is a column for personal info, partner and dependents details. 1.is the personal info supposed to be the wife who already has her visa( she is trying to apply for her children? Please, I will appreciate clarification on this 2. For accommodation, the Hubby stays in a shared apartment, what should be filled for the kids application? Of course, the Hubby is house hunting already Thanks |

Generalkoke:Hello Generalkoke, it's so sad to learn about this. However, it's the ugly reality some have found themselves in. You'll have to apply great wisdom in how you choose to go about this, cos if you get into a confrontation with your current employer, they may withdraw/revoke your CoS and you know what it means - for them, they may just face a fine or loss of their sponsorship licence; for you it may mean having to go back to Naija. If you wish to pursue it legally and need some guidance, you may seek professional counsel from a labour-matters or immigration lawyer. First of all, you may have to write an official letter to the complaints unit of your company to formally appeal your redundancy, and follow your company's rules for making such complaints. Also, you can enquire about labour unions, such as Unison, that may be able to assist you in fighting for your rights. I've specifically searched and found the links below which I hope would provide useful information and assistance to you and others: -> https://www.acas.org.uk/your-rights-during-redundancy/appeal-a-redundancy-decision -> https://www.citizensadvice.org.uk/work/discrimination-at-work/discrimination-at-work/checking-if-its-discrimination/check-if-your-problem-at-work-is-discrimination/ -> https://www.citizensadvice.org.uk/work/dismissal/check-your-rights-if-youre-dismissed/dismissal/check-if-your-dismissal-is-fair/ However, at this point, my advice to you, and others in similar situations, is to fall back to aggressive job hunting... In addition to the suggestion already made by Dee1504, you may also wish to check out your current local county council's careers website and apply for social care jobs, or any other shortage occupation that you're qualified for. You can also apply to other nearby county councils and/or CIC organizations, in case there are no SWV eligible roles in your current local coucil. Most of them are willing to take people, especially in-country candidates with a valid driving licence, for community support worker roles. I wish you all the best of luck.π PS: Please do keep us updated on your progress. 3 Likes |

Good day house, please I'm to fill a post employment form given to me by my employer. In the health question, A yes or no question is asked about High blood pressure which I've had in the past but has been stable for months now.
