They don’t prioritize federal skillled workers anymore with the look of things because I don’t understand the whole process anymore we have been in the pool for years hoping to the ita each time we get closer something goes wrong. Just tired of the whole thing. English exam got expired had to write a new one still nothing sup.
IRCC are very unpredictable. In November 18 2020 I wanted to reject the ITA I got but someone on nairaland encouraged me not to reject it. Unbelievably IRCC suspended draws for about 16 months just a few weeks after I got the ITA. Glad I accepted it and will soon celebrate one year anniversary at my place of work in Toronto.
The moment you get to canada and get settled, your views about immigration may begin to change as your realities change. I haven't seen or met anyone talk about immigration here but from my observation there are a lot of work permit holders as well as about 800,000 students on study permit. The immigration quotas are just not enough to accommodate these numbers thus it will get more competitive. In addition, supply of housing in Ontario is far from meeting demand thus bill c19 ay be used to channel more immigrants to other provinces. Only time will tell but for now they should issue more ITAs so the score can go down

Good morning people, please has anyone here got a permanent residence visa after getting a PFL from years back.
i got a procedural fairness letter in my previous application from 5years ago, which i got a refusal afterwards. i am currently applying for permanent residency and background check has been in progress for a long time.
Anyone knows if a PFL from my visitors visa can affect my application?
Note - i wasn’t given a ban but a refusal. Has anyone experienced this please.
Was the PFL you got due to a suspected case of misrepresentation ?

Hello elders in the house, I got ITA. But i don't know
1. Since my Masters Certificate isn't ready (Nigerian unis wahala) what can I use? I have notification of result & transcript.
2. If I'm to upload my IELTS under education records, can't see any where else it can be.
3. Can I use my Naira card to pay for the 1,355 CAD application fees? That way I get official rate? Or what is the best way people have used?

1. Notification of results
2. Yes you can upload it there.
3. Application fees do not qualify for form A, so nothing like official rate. You also cant pay with naira card as most banks have stopped it or capped it to 20 dollars a month.

*Get a dom account fund it with usd at black market or find someone in Canada to pay for you while you pay naira equivalent ( naira to cad is about 560 now in black market) or use one of those virtual fx cards like chippercard.

I don’t think this is correct, we have seen increase in FSW draws and even recently saw an FSW only draw so I do not really understand you. What will CEC people say if FSW is complaining, imagine you have had to pay school fees and even gain work experience yet you can’t get ITA.

Re: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Worker Program - Connect Here Part 11 by donsimon2(m): 6:30am On Feb 20, 2023
The truth is most ITAs have gone to the CEC folks since draws resumed in July last year..How many FSW candidates can score 490+ without a connection to Canada, meanwhile the CEC candidates get additional points for Canadian education and work experience. A CEC candidate can cross 500 crs very easily compared to Fsw candidates not to talk of the pnp advantage they get as well.
I know people say IRCC owes us nothing, but the least they can do is communicate properly to people who want to become PRs. So that people can evaluate their options properly instead of being hopelessly stuck in the pool.
A lot of people have spent so much on this process multiple ielts, transcripts, eca, career plans on hold, etc. The uncertainty around the express entry process really isn't fair to anyone.

But then again, life is not fair...We just have to wait and see how things unfold.

Your assumptions may be right brother, but check all the recent people who have gotten ITA here, they were mostly FSW. People have found a way around hitting those numbers for themselves, you can’t get it wrong with French. Also some have younger spouses and decided to explore that. If you go to Canada today, you will see on ground that we are not even complaining here, there are currently even protests in some parts and also by the end of this year, thousands of PGWPs that were extended during the Covid policies are set to expire and most of them still don’t have PR. When you go to Canada after 40years, add education and IELTS, you will still struggle and that is the age range of many Nigerians who have embarked upon this.

In fairness, they do not owe the public any information, they have policies that exist and people chose to key in, they have the discretion to do and undo. There are other countries that have PR routes and no one is talking about them, Canada only appeared to be easy to achieve and that made it quite popular, this was not a topic in 2014.

Baba you Dey talk like this because you don Dey there already, bro it’s not easy been on the the pool for years hoping one Dey it will get to your turn and you keep getting disappointment each time you are getting closer, we have spent a lot to get to that point if they ain’t intrested in us they should kindly inform us so we can look into other places.

I can relate to what Donsimon2 said sha.

My advise remains that the PR remains a second option. One must live life as if FSW and its process never exists. It must be a backup and life must be lived to the fullest here in Nigeria and If it comes, it comes. Get that marriage done, get that baby made. Get that certification or that new car cheesy

Sometimes, it’s the hope that kills. Other times, the hope fuels us. There is light at the end of the tunnel anyway. If they have gotten to 490, they will get to 480 and hopefully 470 this year.
