Patrioticbreed9:O.P what's the damn meaning of "Asalama alaykum" when talking to Rivers People? A state that is predominantly a Christian state. See, Just remove that your Islamic inscription and agenda. You started this conversation on a wrong footing. You made this whole thing a religious thing by addressing rivers people Islamically. Remove it, if you have any iota of respect for Rivers people and if religion was not your motive Because as long as I'm concerned, it's an insult to the people of Rivers. 1 Like |

Ckonnet: Swears.. Onne port can serve the whole south south and east if proper attention is given plus the location is more favourable than apapa. Rivers is overdue for port. I don't know if we can form a body and interview the presidential candidates. Atleast before we vote them lets know what they have in mind for us. |

I don't know who to vote for as Rivers State governor. For President of Nigeria, I am most certain PO will win. I and my wife will vote ObiDatti. So who do we vote for as governor our Rivers? As an adult I should know but I don't. I know very little or nothing about the contenders. There was no debate. There was little or no campaign from all of them. I am sure that most Rivers voters are like me. On two or 3 occasions I have asked Rivers indigenes in Port Harcourt who they think is the best candidate. The answers I got were not consistent |

Why are we beating about the bush? Peter Obi has told PANDEF that he would resuscitate the Ports in the Niger Delta to function optimally. He is a trader and most folks from the South East and South South would like to import and clear their goods from our region. I am surprised you are still sitting on the fence. Tinubu cannot develop the ports in the South South at the detriment of Apapa and the new Lekki deep sea. He would rather like Igbos and other Nigeriansto keep importing from Lagos. Our people in the Niger delta should be wise for once and stop this rivalry that has led us to no where. If for our people empowerment, he has promised to make the main stream the illegal refineries and help them to improve in quality to avoid and pay their taxes which would be a huge plus for many of our guys in that line of business. It would also reduce drastically the issue of pollution. I am a bit indifferent on who becomes the governor. Who ever becomes a governor would not have the ability to transform our state drastically to compete with Lagos economically. We need to have a President that would listen to us. Though, I used to support SIM Fubara before but I am now leaning towards Tonye Cole who has created wealth like Peter Obi to run our state. SIM has not been able to communicate clearly his vision for Rivers State in all his campaign speeches and have rather being following Nyerisi Wike sheepishly. Fuckyoumod: |

Patrioticbreed9: I have confidence that atiku would win rivers State by a big margin.. I have never supported obi and will never support obi. I love atiku and will always support atiku. atiku brought or made obi known to Nigerians when he was his vice, and now he feels he can run for presidency when he lacks the capacity |

Don, I know you have made up your mind based mostly on party affiliation. I am a core PDP man from day one and refused to jump ship when Ameachi moved to APC although I felt then that President Jonathan was not doing enough for Niger delta. But I will be voting Obi in this election season. Atiku would never develop the Niger Delta port facilities inspite that he made his money with his INTELS at Onne. It would be business as usual for him with his retinue of political jobbers. Do you think that these sets of Abuja politician following Atiku in Rivers PDP would ever attract anything tangible. They never brought anything home before when they were in position of authority. How would suddenly change and start doing something if Atiku wins and appoint them in juicy position? Abiye Sekibo used to be a former Transportation Minister but he did not do anything to expand our Ports and put it a par with Lagos. PO has promised to mainstream the illegal refineries which would helped the operators access credit facilities and standardised and possibly put in scrubbers to reduce pollution due to the kpo fires as well as create jobs. Our people have suffered a lot and we can not continue doing the same thing and expect different result. Let all take that risk and vote PO. Afterall there is nothing to loose if he does not win but much to gain if he wins. We want PO who is an importer and trader to come in. He has business in PH and other South East state and he would like the port to function to help his folks too. He has accepted PANDEF proposal and I believe he will work. Forget about structures, Obi from what i am seeing would defy all odds and come on top. he needs our support in Rivers to give him maximum votes. Same goes to Tonye Cole for me. I was supporting SIM before but after watching his appearances in campaign and Nyerisi Wike's unholy alliance with Tinubu, i started following Tonye's campaign. He is a successful business man and we need a business man to run Rivers State as a business entity not career politicain like Abe or someone that can not eloquently articulate his policies like SIM. Please let us Vote for Peter Obi and Pst. Tonye Cole. donleo92: |
