Tag doesn't stop people from monitoring election. This election is a BVAS powered election, there is nothing much an agent is needed for.
Bravo!
So INEC doesn't know what it's doing for requesting them?
Sha please don't cause trouble at the PU when you aren't a registered agent.

On January 23, 2023, INEC announced that 18 registered political parties in Nigeria have submitted a total of 1,575,689 polling agents (PAs) to represent them at the 176,846 polling units across the country.

Please see here https://dailytrust.com/political-parties-submit-1-5m-agents-for-176846-polling-units/

According to law, each political party is expected to present a party agent in each of the 176,846 polling units in the country, especially for the presidential election, which comes up on Saturday 25 February, 2023.

A further breakdown has been released which revealed the number of party agents submitted by each of the political parties. In the breakdown, only the ruling All Progressives Party (APC) and Peoples' Democratic Party (PDP) have party agents in each of the polling units across the country. Others could not meet this, due to reasons that are not readily made available.

See below the breakdown of party agents submitted to INEC by political parties in the country.

1. APC- 176,974 Agents (100%)
2. LP- 41,234 Agents (23.30%)
3. NNPP - 23,460 Agents (13.25%)
4. PDP- 176,974 Agents (100%)
5. Other 14 Political Parties - 1,081,358

The big question is: if a political party could not present party agents in all the polling units in the country, how will their interests be protected on the election day?

That show the strength of the party

This is what I found in your link when I opened it.

" The 18 registered political parties have submitted a total of 1,575,689 polling agents (PAs) to represent them at the 176,846 polling units across the country.

A senior official of the commission, who pleaded not to be named, told the Daily Trust in Abuja that all 18 political parties had uploaded their lists of PU agents before the expiration of the deadline.

Political parties submit 1.5m agents for 176,846 polling units

The official said, “18 parties uploaded a total of 1,575,689 polling agents, for PUs only.”

The commission had said that it would have the full complement of the Bimodal Voter Accreditation System (BVAS) for the 2023 elections; both in the 176,846 polling units and in the 8,809 registration areas.

What the poster do not know is that Party Agent is not a must.

INEC Polling Office (PO) and the Assistant Polling Officer (APO) should serve as good for all parties.

Party agents comes in because of how corrupt our type of politics has become.

I have shared that Peter Obi is very lucky that it is a 3/4 horse race, in polling units where you have PDP and APC with no LP or NNPP, would APC not checkmate PDP and vice versa?

LP might not have spent the same amount of money like PDP and APC but their impact in the polity has been felt more, same will happen during the election day, masses will stand in for their votes.
