platypelloid:You’re doing many many good. You could get funded faster than MPH- where you and oyinbos will be hustling for funding lol Accept what’s available and wait for MPH if that’s what you really want. Btw, nothing stops you from switching to Medicine after your MS… if you pass UMLE. Also, University of South Carolina - Chemistry Dept is very good and generous to Naija students. 3 Likes |

Donbigi2: It doesn't matter. She can always do internship in any state not compulsorily SDstate. And she can also get internship at SD state too, so the focus should be getting funded offer first and entering US. |
Re: General USA Student Visa Enquiries-part 17 by mantics(m): 3:02am On Feb 23, 2023 |
Sisib15: Get your admission and funding and head to any school in any location. It's when you have many options that you can decide not to go to a particular state. I don't know if you have many options, but if not, lots of Nigerians are in SDstate and even North Dakota. You can get internship anywhere, it's not a must you do it in same state your school is. 1 Like |

Re: General USA Student Visa Enquiries-part 17 by Donbigi2(m): 6:21am On Feb 23, 2023 |
mantics:Hence why I listed it. I just think going out of state for cpt/coop internship which last 3 to 6months is expensive because you will either maintain two rents or move to your place on employment only to move back within 6months. |

Donbigi2: I get your point. That decision will be made at the right time. She is still hunting for position in a school, so she has no much option for now on that. When she gets to US, that decision will be made. |

Good morning all, please my request for emergency appointment was denied but i am still seeing the option in the U.S embassy website. I want to know if I should apply again and also while applying for the previous one i uploaded my I-20, sevis fee receipt, passport and visa fee payment slip. Please is there any other supporting document i should upload to boost my chances of getting it approved this time. Thank you |

Good day everyone Please I need an advice. Please what is the best option? I want to apply for F1 visa and am married with no kid yet. My question is A: is it for me to travel first before my husband joins me? Or B: is it to apply and travel out with my husband at the same time? Thanks am expecting your reply. |

Check page 236 or 235 of this thread, chibertha dropped a link there and also, you can check 2016 of the usa student thread on nairaland. It is well loaded and it has answers to all your questions but you have to patiently read it. Best of luck Latonal1: |

My sister just returned from an interview....heartbroken. We are sad right now and she's still in tears oh. She was scheduled for 6.30 am today via email oh after she has done her medicals last week successfully at VI, only for them to tell her that lagosiv.state.gov hasn't received it yet from the medicals. They said it's only when they receive it from them they can interview her. (see oh...even after they have scheduled her for an interview oh). We quickly sent a mail to them, they said they'll reply in 2-3 days time...can you imagine. She has booked a flight already next week....what kind of rubbish is this one again. Please if someone has a reasonable solution or suggestion...I am hungry for it now to encourage her. She's been crying since she came back oh. |

Beutony:1: If your husband is not a prospective student, he’s going to be on F2 visa.. ie stay at home chop belleful hubby Pros: You have your partner for emotional, sexual and psychological support. -You can start family asap - Naija chances of getting visa are narrowing day by day -Proof of home ties, if he stays back..you can tell VO that you come back to see him every year. Cons: -If you’re funded, your stipend only covers you. -He’s tied to ur immigration status. You’re the only one who can file for him to get his work permit… only possible if you have changed your status. So he’s a rider on your visa. -Your income must be bigger to accommodate 2 adults plus a baby on the way.. lol -You will be the breadwinner and your hubby will be bread chopper 2 Likes |
