TheGoodJoe:Oga I gave you clear parameters. Provide the data on how significantly long balls contributed to our footballing success in the last 7-10 years. Shikena. It's always convenient for you to ask for data but when I ask you to provide data, you start giving stories 1 Like |

Mujtahida: What kind of thesis is that? This is a joke. I should go to matches for 7 years and pick matches that long balls were effective. That is really a joke. I have given you a clear instance of how effective it can be and played a significant part in us beating a tough and formidable opponent. That is me bringing out the information. I gave you a player that played a lot with it and helped us. Gave you a clear case of it ij action. Which one have you Kelechi Nwakali bashers FC brought? None. Just Bash, bash, bash. You guys can't bring one but want 7 to 10 years thesis. LoL. 1 Like |

Mujtahida: Please when I ask for data, I am asking for verifiable evidence that shows this person can do something. We have pointed out Kelechi Nwakali is good with long balls. He was impressive with it in his last match. Show us evidence of the so called better midfielders at dictating play with short and long passes than Nwakali. Show us something. stats, video, praise from a journalist, highlight from a coach. Something. I have given a clear evidence of its effectiveness for us. Which one have you guys brought? After years, none. Finito. 1 Like |

TheGoodJoe:Atlanta 96, the goal that made it 3-3 in the game against Brazil was from a throw in by Jay Jay who was a master of long throw in. So we should now start looking for a player who knows how to give long throw ins abi? Bring? Na me be coach? Hear funny talk. Oya go and put the Nwakali that you brought in the team na. 3 Likes 1 Share |

Mujtahida: How can there be any official data or statistics on the effectiveness of long balls? From times old till present, players with the ability to effectively pass with long balls are highly rated. We need such a player in our team especially with someone like Osimhen playing up front. 5 Likes 1 Share |

TheGoodJoe: Pinging the ball with pin point accuracy is a skill set l find the top level players at U13 in most EPL Academies can do as a routine. Long ball passing ( police game) is the bread and butter of the lower leagues , kick and rush. It's not considered anything special but the contrary because anybody can do it. It's much more DIFFICULT and COMPLICATED to play through a team with a series of short passes, give and takes, 1-2's, through balls, deceptive movement and passes, dead ball accuracy for set pieces, etc . Hoofing a ball up the pitch is a reflection of limited ability and skill not exceptional performance or intuition. It's escapism, essentially, " When in doubt kick it out" The Spanish quality skill set in Midfield is seen quite clearly in La Liga top level clubs. Not in the poor Segunda division, Villarreal B team played Wolves U21 and struggled to beat them 2-1. A team that Liverpool U21 flogged 5-0. I've said this repeatedly that no EPL U21 Academy dide can beat a league one team. Talk less of a Championship side. That has been established beyond all doubt π§ That should give you an idea of how poor the Segunda division is as a league. I will concede that the first 5/6 teams are decent but not oustanding. Even La Liga has huge gaps in Quality between the top end and low end teams. This is not the same in the EPL, Where bottom team can beat the top team I recall Southampton was able to beat Manchester city. If I look at the top level of the Segundo division don't think they would find it easy against the top level of English league one. Nwakali remain in the Segunda division because he is a poor player, not because he is exceptional. It's that simple. You asked me to name π players, I don't need to players play in better League and clubs because they are better it's that SIMPLE. In addition there are too many players to name, who are better than him. All the players that I've stopped talking about because I feel they are not good enough for the SE are by comparison much better than him. 2 Likes 1 Share |

chrisooblog:Yes just watched your link.Cool analytics by Careagher and Henry Thiery with different views on Haaland....Carrragher believe Man city is not playing to his strength and Henry was of opinion that Haaland is not helping the team all round play but the big question is Haaland performing?YES,26 goals in 22 matches, then both Carragher and Henry are wrong in their analysis.....only Guardiola can tell us if he is satisfied or not and from all indications Haaland is a striker any teams will jump to have cus he is a scorer.....I donβt want to go into Osimehn comparison....Haaland is a traditional number nine and most coaches would want him around the box, possibly Guardiola just want him around the box cos he has enough players to do it for him and 26 goals in 22 matches, common man,Carrraghrr and Henry would failed as man city coach. 1 Like |

codemaniacs: You actually want to compare Mason Mount to NWAKALI, is this not a form of deep seated self Delusion. Mason Mount is a Chelsea player and England international , wanted by top clubs across Europe and you are comparing him to Nwakali. Your pick out one pass not a clip one pass he refused to do for Jao Felix and therefore Nwakali is better.π€π€ Good teams and players don't always use long ball but have other quality options. See a proper clip of Mount doing a long 30 yard passrs with both feet left and right. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qPfpzOwrMwA 1 Like |

BascoVanVeli: Actually I knew he wouldn't make it at Wolfsburg. Football succes is anchored on very small margins and decisions. There is a time to leave and a time to stay . If Pogba had not left Manchester United to Juve as a youth player we would not be hearing about him now. I will the same for Jadon Sancho when he left Manchester city now he is on Β£350k a week . If Jude Bellingham didn't leave Birmingham city he would not be the number one Midfielders on the transfer list's of the very best Clubs in Europe. If VO didn't leave Wolfsburg at that time maybe we will not be hearing about him today, nobody can tell. |

Chief I didn't say he mentioned Osimhen na! I think we can draw parallels for Osimhen with the point Henry was making about Benzema and Kane how they get involved in attacking plays to assist their fellow forwards unlike Haaland who mostly stays central waiting for crosses or long balls. Starboytwo:I just tired for this age matter.I think time to respect our players age...We have important roles to play regarding age cheats.I remember forgiveness narrative on how he took his boy to trial of beyond limits academy. We just have to build our talented kids at very early stage and no matter what they will match up with their foreign counterparts........I have two sons that started playing the game very early and I can tell you they are damn good.My first son trial was massive, under 20 mins the coach came to me and said βyou meant this boy has not been playing the game outside his neighborhood and I said yesβ my second son trial went the same way.My boys were introduced to the game very early, watching live football games every weekends and it shows in their game. They play like real men and they are just 14 and 12 years of age....I think time to say NO TO AGE CHEAT IN SPORTS and anyone here can champion the cause with support from reputable organizations for funding...age cheat affect our football in the long run.We can do it like Europeans, nothing special except nutrition cos my 14 years old boy can play with U17 conveniently cos he has the height 2 Likes |
