Bio-pics i think are one of the hardest genre of motion picture to make, This had it's flaws but still it was a big, lavish and grand ode to the most awarded female vocalist of all time. The movie took some surprising turns and the music direction was A1, it was the driving force of the movie.
Naomi Ackie whilst looking nothing like Whitney Houston totally ate and delivered a performance for the ages, She was the anchor, at times too oscar-baity but good overall. she gave a very convincing Whitney Houston regen. Still behind "Bohemian Rhapsody (2018)" for me as far as musical bio-pics go but i totally loved it all the same, i am now waiting for that long over due Micheal Jackson's bio-pic.
