Am sure senior LASG public n civil servants are aware of the slow movement around the Lekki-Lakowe corridor, am sure the contractor would have giving reasons why the traffic can't be helped, its for a short period of time and also for a greater good. I gave you an example of an issue that real world voters care about and this is the response you give?

Traffic usually tops the list of the problems that the average Lagosian has to deal with. This is a well known fact. Yes we all know there is a high influx of people into Lagos. Yes we all know there is severe pressure on infrastructure and services. But the LASG is not doing enough to manage traffic properly and efficiently. It is not.

Opposition parties in Lagos are raising the issues that affect voters the most. Instead of paying attention you went off on a tangent about the PDP (as usual ), Mimiko () and Delta state. What do they have to with traffic management by the LASG?

This defensiveness is counterproductive. Governments that wish to do well have to learn to take criticism in good faith. The belief that the people essentially have no other options than an APC government is the pride that goes before a fall. Remember the PDP's boast about retaining federal power for 60 years? Where are they today?

The APC is going down that same route.

While you are hypothesizing, some of us are living the nightmare.

We live and work on that axis. We feel the pain and we know the daily hell we go through on that road. We have no formal qualifications in transport science or transport management studies but we recognize an avoidable traffic problem when we see it - and we also recognize solutions when we see them.

You are speculating about the awareness (or lack thereof) of LASG civil servants and what road contractors did and did not say. I am on that road for several hours a day and I am telling you the traffic management is abysmally poor, full stop. This unnecessary traffic is a waste of people's time, effort and money. It puts people's health and lives at risk for no reason. It can never, ever be justified or excused, no matter what you say. Have you been to that axis? Have you seen the traffic?

The Sanwo-Olu administration is taking voters for granted. Maybe one day, people will begin to ask questions and demand answers. Once they do, the APC is on its way out.

Am sure you know better than the contractors and the people that gave out the contract. Blocking the road during constructions is normal, what you should be agitating for is for the construction work to be done at nights, or better still d road should be repaired in bits before total degeneration,in this case its a complete reconstruction. The construction going on around Ikeja along also is causing some discomforts, i dont know if the contractor has rounded up though. The federal government has being on the Lagos Ibadan express road for over 20yrs, and the last time I went through that road I spent about 3hrs. You must understand that Lagos State is over populated, any little road block will always lead to excessive go-slow. Some states are practically begging their Govs to construct roads, so be happy that you have a working Gov.

This is a terrible mindset.

This will be my last post on this matter - I cannot continue a conversation with someone who thinks this way. Are we talking about neurosurgery here??!! We are talking about traffic barriers at a construction site!! If elementary traffic issues are too complex for you and you have to defer to government 'authority' then I don't have much more to say to you.

We should accept LASG incompetence as a complement to FG incompetence? Is that what you are saying?

You may be comfortable with watching your life waste away in unnecessary traffic. Some of us have better things to do with our time.

Our governments (one after the other) have spent 20 years constructing a 144km road and you aren't ashamed to say it out loud? That you spent 3 hours on that damn road gives you some sort of bragging rights?

I wrote earlier on about the terribly twisted mindset you have - and your comment up here proves it. Sanwo-olu clearly has the same mindset and for that he deserves to fail at re-election. The only question now is whether people in Lagos have had enough of this unnecessary suffering and are ready to punish non-performance by their leadership.

Time will tell.
