Starboytwo:Abeg drop Robben or Rooney. They can look like 50 years and that counts for nothing because: 1. There is no culture of age cheating in both countries. Both countries started playing football over a hundred years ago. I challenge you to mention two instances of age cheating in age grade competitions in both countries. I no dey for this sanctimonious preachments. 2. As a corollary to the first or rather the predictive factor for the first, both countries capture data at birth. So no room for age cheating. Even if you want to do it, you can't do it. The system will weed you out. Is that the same with Nigeria? Don't we know in the general sense what a 17 or 18 year old in Nigeria looks like? Did you see Iheanacho and Victor Osimhen's set of U - 17? Compare them with the Chrisantus or 2009 u-20 set. Can't you see that Osimhen and Iheanacho set are within the age bracket? I looked at this Agbalaka and I strongly suspect he's not less than 20. If you have evidence that my suspicion is unfounded, bring it. If not, leave me with my doubt. 4 Likes |

Napoleon55:The bolded is a reasonable and fair assessment devoid of the hype that irks a lot of people. I cannot contest what you just said There are long ball specialists - Beckham, Pirlo, our own Oliseh and from my memory I can reel out goals we scored from long balls We need good crossers of the ball on the wings, we need ball playing defenders and midfielders. But.... Make I end am here 1 Like |

Truidstar: Na wa for you. So, stop arguing when people are trying to proffer solutions if all you have to do is watch. By the way, we lack accurate long ball deliveries in our team. We are proposing Kelechi Nwakali will help offer that. So, how do you want our main forwards to explore long balls when we lack midfielders that deliver it accurately? Your question is totally off tangent. |

Mujtahida: And yet, we have people here who constantly challenge the reliability of the MRI test and by extension, challenging the ages of players like Iheanacho, Osimhen, Awoniyi, Nwakali, Chukwueze,Uzoho, Success, etc who are a product of the MRI era 3 Likes |

Truidstar: The point is simple. How do we (Super Eagles) improve our midfield play. A suggestion is to improve on our long balls. So, let us select some of the good long passers to be part of the team. Sometimes switch tactics by employing some long balls. So, the question you are asking above is irrelevant to the line of discussion. 1 Like |

komekn: Only thing Mason Mount has over Nwakali is that he plays in a top team and that's thanks to Lampard giving him the opportunity and playing time... Fikayo Tomori , Aina, Mo Salah, Kevin De Bruyne, van ginkel. Tariq Lamptey e.t.c weren't given playing time Nobody wanted Jude Bellingham until after Dortmund bought him and he was giving the opportunity and playing time in Dortmund.. Only Man. United made a bid that was rejected and you and I both know that Man. United won't give a 16 year old midfielder regular game time.. he would have been in their youth team. Nwakali playing in division 2 is due to his agents, the fact he his Nigerian and maybe he likes Spain.. African players from Fr:ance colonized African countries are given opportunities and playing time in France.. even some Nigerian players are giving playing time in F:rance.. so I need to add F:rance to the list of countries including Belgium and Denmark that are good for Nigerian midfielders and players.. the point is Nwakali can make passes either short or long to the wingers or strikers to create chances for the strikers to score or pass to wingers who would assist... starting Nwakali, Iwobi and a holding midfielder is a blessing for the S.E midfield or starting Nwakali, Iwobi, Onyeka and Onyedika or Bonke is a blessing for the S.E midfield. S.E currently plays with 4 attackers ( 2 wingers, 1 striker, 1 other player behind the striker ) and with Iwobi and a holding midfielder been the only 2 midfielders in the starting 11.. the attackers don't drop deep to help the midfield and defense. which makes the defense porous.. the problem with S.E is the defensive formation when the opposition has the ball and not inviting at least 4 - 5 midfielders. when the opposition has the ball the forward players don't drop deep immediately and get into a defensive formation.. the U20 flying eagles also have this problem.. If not for the GoalKeeper and poor finishing from the Egyptians.. Egypt would have scored at least 3 goals. 3 Likes 1 Share |

jihday: Why are you being hypocritical. Age cheating is an ingrained endemic and institutionalised culture in Nigeria. In country where truth and integrity are not considered attributes worthy of commendation. We do not have any institutional independent government controlled system for automatic birth data capture. You therefore have to rely on the integrity and honesty of individuals when there such attributes are not commended in society in general. This is why we have a convicted geriatric drug Lord claiming to be 70 but looking frail and 85. And many giving him unquestionable support. Age cheating cute across every sector on Nigeria. Age cheating in football β½ is part of the business model and structure of football in Nigeria. They are never separate. |

komekn: Pogba entered into Manchester United as a star player. If I remember right, he came from Le Havre with a lot of problems because of his quality. He was brilliant and held a lot of promise. He would have become huge at Manchester United. The problem is that Ferguson wanted an extra season for Paul Scholes and Pogba did not want to wait. But to say the most talented midfielder in Manchester United reserves would not have been known if he did not leave Manchester United is not true. |

komekn: Osimhen would still blow but Wolfsburg did not want to give him a chance. He was always a super talent. Sooner, he would get his chance somewhere and excel. As for Sancho, he already had big promise in City. He just was not ready to compete with Sane. Foden did not leave and stayed at City. How come we are hearing of him now. Na wa. |
