Actually I knew he wouldn't make it at Wolfsburg.

Football succes is anchored on very small margins and decisions. There is a time to leave and a time to stay .

If Pogba had not left Manchester United to Juve as a youth player we would not be hearing about him now. I will the same for Jadon Sancho when he left Manchester city now he is on £350k a week .

If Jude Bellingham didn't leave Birmingham city he would not be the number one Midfielders on the transfer list's of the very best Clubs in Europe.

If VO didn't leave Wolfsburg at that time maybe we will not be hearing about him today, nobody can tell.

Rio Ferdinand on Pogba leaving Manchester United
"Everyone was sold on Paul Pogba. When he left United every player was saying, 'What the hell is going on?', the former centre-half wrote in the Sunday Times. "Everyone in that changing room knew that him leaving was a huge, huge error.

"He was 17, nearly 18, and before he came into the changing room I said, 'Listen, this kid, I've seen him play for the reserves and youths and he has something.'

"After he trained, no player in that Manchester United first team disagreed. Everyone was sold on Paul Pogba. But he came to a decision to leave and sometimes these things happen in football."

Yet you want us to believe no one would have known him if he did not leave. I guess we don't know Rashford because he chose to stay at Manchester United and not leave.

Abeg drop Robben or Rooney. They can look like 50 years and that counts for nothing because:
1. There is no culture of age cheating in both countries. Both countries started playing football over a hundred years ago. I challenge you to mention two instances of age cheating in age grade competitions in both countries. I no dey for this sanctimonious preachments.

2. As a corollary to the first or rather the predictive factor for the first, both countries capture data at birth. So no room for age cheating. Even if you want to do it, you can't do it. The system will weed you out.

Is that the same with Nigeria? Don't we know in the general sense what a 17 or 18 year old in Nigeria looks like? Did you see Iheanacho and Victor Osimhen's set of U - 17? Compare them with the Chrisantus or 2009 u-20 set. Can't you see that Osimhen and Iheanacho set are within the age bracket?

I looked at this Agbalaka and I strongly suspect he's not less than 20. If you have evidence that my suspicion is unfounded, bring it. If not, leave me with my doubt.

bring your own evidence of him above 20. All the rest na story.

Only thing Mason Mount has over Nwakali is that he plays in a top team and that's thanks to Lampard giving him the opportunity and playing time... Fikayo Tomori , Aina, Mo Salah, Kevin De Bruyne, van ginkel. Tariq Lamptey e.t.c weren't given playing time

Nobody wanted Jude Bellingham until after Dortmund bought him and he was giving the opportunity and playing time in Dortmund.. Only Man. United made a bid that was rejected and you and I both know that Man. United won't give a 16 year old midfielder regular game time.. he would have been in their youth team.

Nwakali playing in division 2 is due to his agents, the fact he his Nigerian and maybe he likes Spain..

African players from Fr:ance colonized African countries are given opportunities and playing time in France.. even some Nigerian players are giving playing time in F:rance..

so I need to add F:rance to the list of countries including Belgium and Denmark that are good for Nigerian midfielders and players..

the point is Nwakali can make passes either short or long to the wingers or strikers to create chances for the strikers to score or pass to wingers who would assist...

starting Nwakali, Iwobi and a holding midfielder is a blessing for the S.E midfield

or

starting Nwakali, Iwobi, Onyeka and Onyedika or Bonke is a blessing for the S.E midfield.

S.E currently plays with 4 attackers ( 2 wingers, 1 striker, 1 other player behind the striker ) and with Iwobi and a holding midfielder been the only 2 midfielders in the starting 11.. the attackers don't drop deep to help the midfield and defense. which makes the defense porous..

the problem with S.E is the defensive formation when the opposition has the ball and not inviting at least 4 - 5 midfielders.

when the opposition has the ball the forward players don't drop deep immediately and get into a defensive formation..

the U20 flying eagles also have this problem.. If not for the GoalKeeper and poor finishing from the Egyptians.. Egypt would have scored at least 3 goals.

Person wey sabi wella. Love your analysis bruh!

Celestine Babayaro yes but Kanu I doubt......I saw Kanu playing for Iwuanyawu nationale against Ranchers Bees in 1991 FA cup in Ilorin and later made Japan 93 U17 team after representing Nigeria in Mauritius 93 U20.He was drafted to U17 with Emma Babayaro from U20 team that went to Mauritius.

Don’t play me stupid narrative here

Do we have a xabi Alonso on SE.

Make we they try talk with sense abeg

Long balls what kind of silly talk is that na

You can’t even ask for a ball carrying midfielder with dejong skill set

Or a winger that creates his own spaces and makes spaces for others like kvaratshkelia

You’re saying long balls as if aside osimehn there’s any SE player that can hold ball in the opposition half for 10secs

Your idea is too poor that style of play is out of touch maybe a last resort maybe

We don't have a midfielder that can deliver long balls like Xabi Alonso. However, we have the best long ball delivering midfielder among the Super Eagles player. His name is Kelechi Nwakali. By the way, saying long ball is out of touch is hilarious. Take time and watch Rodri and see him deliver them. Bernardo Silva is also ideal when it is time to switch play with diagonal long balls. Unless you are saying Guardiola is out of touch.

Erik ten Hag was 'Mini Pep' at Bayern and said chatting tactics on adjacent training pitches with Guardiola was 'like a lottery win'

The Dutchman described the two years he worked alongside Guardiola at Bayern Munich as 'like winning the lottery'.

We’re not proposing anything f*cling thing

Long balls forward and long balls into the box I’ve been our way of life since time immemorial.

It’s the same thing we’ve played for the past freaking 100 years

Don’t say anything like we were playing tiki taka back in the day

You can see that you are arguing totally off what we are saying.

We listed Oliseh and Mikel here. Are you saying these two brilliant minds were jam body footballers?

I posted a clip of Kelechi Nwakali here, the football he was playing there, is it jambody football?

It is not by force to hurriedly argue. Get the point.

The proposition is about improving our midfield play. Is that jam body football.

Please, we are not talking of hoofing the ball but diagonal long balls to switch play. Not lumping the ball upfront.

The aim of possessive (passing) play is to get the opposition to lose shape, converge in one area, and leave gap at another section of their block.

Then with intuitive smart play, you switch play with effective diagonal long balls.

Also, with an effective long ball passer, you can take advantage of your players in space.

That NWAKALI is the only Midfielder in Europe of Nigerian origin that can give accurate long balls.

Like they say
Every game na sure game until match starts.

Aside maybe osimehn, nacho and aina all our boys are regressing badly

Midfield is not our problem at all.

The entire team needs an overhaul from top to bottom, players needs to be put in Check that performance warrants call up not the team or league you’re playing in.

We’ve pampered this current crop of eagles so badly that we haven’t groom a team to take over from there.

As long as we have the same back line, same midfield and attack, we aren’t changing our destiny
