Is it that F2s cannot adjust their status to F1 or any other visa category while in the USA? Because you seem to always emphasize F2s will be complete liabilities in the USA. I have even heard of cases where F2s secured jobs and got sponsorships for H1B, though quite rare.

It is better you travel together with your spouse. Just ensure you have the relevant information, prepare well and commit it in God’s hands. Then consult those who have followed that route successfully. I followed that route and i am currently in US. Experience is the best teacher.

I was super excited, only for me to check the date on my profile on US.Gov this morning, it was still the August 2023 date that is still displaying. I called him to understand, but he said that's how they do it, I should relax, not to worry, and just come for the interview on that day. Have I not been scammed like this? Please house. What is the implication? Is this how it goes?

You probably have been scammed...the appointment date confirmation mail you were sent must reflect and have the same information in ur dashboard. If your profile still shows august 2023 till now. Then ur interview date is still august 2023. Whatever ur agent sent to u is nonsense. I'm pretty sure he just edited it and sent to you maybe because u have been on his neck since.

Agents dont have any power or authority to manufacture dates. They all check 4 times a day like the rest of us. Stop paying agents to check date for you because of stories that touches the heart.

I started the application and i am been requested for Engineering CAS. They requested for a foreign evaluation of my transcript which I guess is WES.

My issue is to know if I can get full sponsorship even after going through all this.

Please anybody here that has experince with the school should help confirm

If I can pull my own weight, I would apply for my own F1 if our agreed goal is to stay under one roof and start a family…but if our agreed goal is to get settled in our career first b4 starting a family, then I would stay back and let my wifey go 1st. If I have a good job/biz in Naija, I’d apply for F2/B1/B2.. Good luck.

I am processing Us visa for some participants for US trip for a conference(b1/b2), one of the participants gave us his diplomatic passport no and that was what was used to pay the visa fee. Now he said he doesn't want to travel with diplomatic passport but with regular passport.

Though his ds-160 form is yet to be submitted, can we just enter the new passport no on the ds -160 form and submit and still use the payment ref no details used for the previous passport no or a new payment has to be made for the new passport no?

While filing the form, did you agree to the question that asked if you have been denied a visa in the last 6months? If yes, that's the cause, and I will suggest you go back and click know because you are not likely to visit the embassy till July for your interview.

Someone has finished explaining that you will not enter embassy until July and you say it's false. Were you not the one that said you were there in December?

When are you expected to resume, I think that can also affect the decision to grant you an emergency appointment especially if you apply too early.

Still waiting on Brandeis and Case Western among others. We hope for better next month.

Honestly, Marshall is weird like that..and I read that it's since they started this centralised system thing...Hopefully, you didn't put all your eggs in one basket ..before you go and get admission, only a few weeks to the beginning of classes, like some weirdass schools do.

Is it okay to tell the V.O that my sister who is also my employer is funding my deficit?
Or I should just say my sister?

Second, the statement of account I'll be using has her husband's name only, can I still say my sister is sponsoring? It's a joint account and they're both signatories to the account but the account carries his name(but they're both signatories to the account).

Is this a fully registered biz cos biz accounts dont usually have personal names in their statements?
