The truth is that its because the nigerian doctors are too lazy and selfish....they will recommend CS to someone that does not need it because it is both faster and more expensive. they are never prepared, they will tell you platelets finished and they always make lots of mistakes banking on "we are sorry sir" to bail them out...

My friend, as the poster above me stated, it's more to do with citizenship than Nigerian doctors. Parents want to give their children options as the Nigerian passport is useless. Foreign citizenship means that they can travel abroad unrestricted. Having your child in a country that grants them automatic citizenship via birth means that the said child can live and work in that country in the future. It's not just a Nigerian thing/black thing. Many people from developing countries are guilty of birth tourism. Nigerian doctors are only one of the numerous reasons why Nigerians are having their children outside the country.

Citizenship by birth is still possible only in USA and Canada, no EU country grant such citizenship again. It was the Irish Repuplic that last did that but from 2005 onwards no longer possible. UK`s citizenship by birth ended in the early 80`s.
From my personal experience the process of child birth in Nigeria is far more efficient and less complicated than it is in Europe. In Nigeria there is less need for cesarean section because our pregnant women in Africa naturally do more excercise and eat less fatty foods than the Women in Europe or North America. Coming to Europe just to give birth after paying so much money does`not make any sence. Child birth in Europe for residents and citizens is free.

If only you knew the strength of some South American countries. In fact, as it is, I no dey only look from the angle of visa free access, but work permits. For instance, Singaporeans have 5400 H1B1 visas allocated to them to work in the US. They don't hustle H1B like others. Germans or British don't benefit from such. They have to hustle H1B. With this example, the Singaporean passport is stronger than every other country in the EU.

Like the guy doesn't know anything. How can you compare a south american passport to the UK. A UK citizen can't even work in the EU anymore without a work permit. You need H1B for the usa and an LMIA for Canada. Something that south Americans bypass easily with their passports.

The truth of the matter is this

If you are a business person or a corrupt government official and you cant get American, EU or British citizenship but you intend to access those areas in the future, your next option will be to get the passport of probably Argentina, brazil or one of those tax havens countries in the caribbeans.

If you intend to get it for immigration purpose it could also be useful for vacation, you will be able to travel to EU, US and japan and you will be allowed to stay in those countries for 3 months.

If you intend to get it to hide your corrupt money then it is also good for you but you also need to check if those countries have an extradition agreement with Nigeria, US or the EU.

In the EU, the easiest place to get a Citizenship was portugal, you have to buy a property or art worth $400k and live in the country for 7 days to gain citizenship, soon Portugal will stop this scheme.

it is good to get an EU passport or an American one, there are lot of benefits that comes with it. The disadvantage of an American passport is double taxation from what i understand, holders of American passport must pay tax from their income no matter where they are, so you have to pay both america and local tax if you live outside the US, the only way to avoid it is to renounce US Citizenship.

The trick about traveling for a uk citizen is this..

Find the most cheapest place to spend your holiday that is why you see many of them in spain and in Thailand but you wont see many of them in maldives or Morocco because it is expensive

Japanese passport = numero uno (number 1)
Singaporean and South Korean passport = 2nd place or 2nd and 3rd place. Not sure of the ranking.
