Gotcha moment from Lauren Boebert on Twitter.

However, the US and France are considered both democracies and republics—both terms point to the fact that the power of governance rests in the people, and the exercise of that power is done through some sort of electoral representation.

What's up with these crazies? These are the lunatics that inspire basilico loco?

You dey mind the hypocrites. He is now a champion of calling out paedophilia in Northern Nigeria, but when it was posted here a few days ago about how the Republicans in Wyoming were trying to block a marriage bill that would restrict underage marriages, the fake conservatives on Nairaland became blind, deaf and dumb grin

Don't mind the idiots!

Yes I'll call them capital IDIOTS. I earned it.

They are hypocritical mockers in feast. They demonize drags but never call out the hundreds upon hundreds of pedophiles in their right wing, churches, family and their unrelenting quest to preserve incest and cousin Marriage.

It's a self reflecting shame to spout the ideologies this group promotes without an iota of shame to address the risque sexual lifestyles of these people.

A clear mind will know the crazies are these right wing nut jobs and the idiots who support them.

You are the one who can't comprehend or understand what is going on. Coolusername tried for you.
Words can be used interchangeably even if they have different meaning.
your argument is that the Penal Code and the Criminal code are the same thing... and i am saying No... depending on the context.

I am glad you said it depends on context. There is a lot of context that subjugates the penal code to the Criminal Code Act 1990.

House Speaker Kevin McCarthy and Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries have agreed to create a bipartisan task force that will establish a process to remove members from committees, aides for the two lawmakers told NBC News.

McCarthy, R-Calif., has already begun the process of reaching out to members to join the committee and Jeffries, D-N.Y., will also offer up a list of Democrats to participate, the aides said.

The House speaker proposed the concept after the fallout from his decision to call for a vote of the full House that ultimately removed Ilhan Omar from the Foreign Affairs Committee.

You're going to need to show me where I made this claim. My claim has always been that certain states follow the penal code. This is a simple fact. Show me where I said that all Nigerian law is based on the penal code.

If we surrender to the siren song of those in this Country who argue that America has no interest in freedom, we may soon send our sons and daughters into harms way defending our freedom and the freedom of our NATO allies.

This is not America’s war, but if we falter, at some point in the future, America could be drawn into war. If Russia is not stopped in Ukraine, the day will come when NATO allies are directly threatened—and that would be a disaster all mankind should work to avoid.

While some in my party have taken a somewhat different view, let me be clear: There can be no room in the leadership of the Republican Party for apologists for Putin. There can only be room for champions of freedom,”

“The fastest path to peace is to help Ukraine win the war. Time is of the essence. We need to provide tanks and resources in months, not years to the people of Ukraine so they can defend their country,”

- Mike Pence.

Mitch McConnell tells U.S. to ‘wake up’ to threat of Russia on Ukraine war anniversary.

The Senate Republican leader pushed back against calls from within his own party to pare back U.S. funding in support of Ukraine.

Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) on Friday urged the United States and its allies to renew their resolve to help Ukraine as it stands up to Russian “thuggery,” tacitly pushing back against members of his own party who have become loudly skeptical of Ukraine’s fight as the conflict passes the one-year mark.

America and our friends need to finish waking up from our holiday from history, welcome Finland and Sweden into NATO by this summer, and make significant investments in military modernization and our defense-industrial capacities that are commensurate with the major challenges we face,” McConnell said in a statement, shortly before appearing alongside President Sauli Niinisto in Helsinki to support Finland’s bid to join NATO.

The message marked a stark contrast to the one pushed by former president Donald Trump and some congressional Republicans, who criticized President Biden’s trip to Kyiv earlier this week and have called for ending or slowing aid to Ukraine. In a tweet, Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga), a hard-right ally of House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) and one of dozens of House Republicans to vote against Ukraine aid in May, called Biden’s trip “insulting” and proof that he “chose Ukraine over America.”

But nearly 50 U.S. lawmakers, including McConnell and Senate Majority Leader Charles E. Schumer (D-N.Y.), traveled to the Munich Security Conference in Germany last week to reassure European allies that Congress, which is split between a GOP-controlled House and Democratic-controlled Senate, will continue to support Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky with weapons and funds.

The longtime Republican leader argued forcefully Friday that giving money to Ukraine “is not an act of charity” on America’s part, while also urging European countries to spend more of their own funds toward the effort.

If Putin were given a green light to destabilize Europe, invading and killing at will, the long-term cost to the United States in both dollars and security risks would be astronomically higher than the minuscule fraction of our GDP that we have invested in Ukraine’s defense thus far,” McConnell said in the statement.

What's good for the goose.

Media organizations ask Congress for access to January 6 footage

Advance Publications, ABC News, Axios, CBS News, Scripps, Gannett, the Los Angeles Times, Politico, CNn and ProPublica are the media organizations that have signed a letter calling for congressional leaders to grant access to security footage from inside the US Capitol on January 6, 2021, after House Speaker Kevin McCarthy gave Fox News' Tucker Carlson access to the material earlier this month.

In a Friday letter on behalf of the press coalition to McCarthy, House Majority Leader Steve Scalise, House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries, Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer and Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, attorney Charles Tobin called on Congress to release all the security footage showing the attack on the Capitol.

"Without full public access to the complete historical record, there is concern that an ideologically-based narrative of an already polarizing event will take hold in the public consciousness, with destabilizing risks to the legitimacy of Congress, the Capitol Police, and the various federal investigations and prosecutions of January 6 crimes," Tobin said in the letter.

It was previously reported that McCarthy did not consult with his House GOP leadership team or with Jeffries before deciding to give Carlson access.

In an interview with The New York Times on Wednesday, McCarthy justified the decision by saying, "I promised."

"I was asked in the press about these tapes, and I said they do belong to the American public. I think sunshine lets everybody make their own judgment," the California Republican told the Times.

My thoughts on this war.
In 2014 Ukraine and Russia were Ok with each other, then the elections were botched up in favor of. Western leaning candidate. Same case 2017 elections. NATO started enticing Ukraine.Ukraine was violently suppressing Donbass n Donetsk pro Russia who wanted to be Ukrainian but with some autonomy.

The globalists lured Zelensky to join NATO to Putin's chagrin.
Went to war

What we see now is that most of the world supports NATO.
Nay, the globalists have browbeaen the rest of the world into submission. Only Russia and China stands in their way of dominance. iF Putin goes out, there might be a new president ready to kowtow the west.
After that the globalists can finish off Iran n pesky Hungary.

Very few countries can survive the sanctions laid on Putin, so I guess the next thing is
the world shall comply to dictates from the shadowy globalists. We shall eat ze bugs for now I am beginning to believe these WEF globalists

Who stands in their way of these globalists in America is Trump. I have a feeling they will never let him run or if he does they will cheat massively.

These are vicious people with no souls. How many Ukrainians have to die for Putin to be neutered,

Had not seen this article which seems to concur with my thoughts

I participated as a PO in the election process. I didn't get a lick of sleep for 48 hours.

From the numbers I've gotten from my PU and I've been seeing at least in my town (Yola), I'd say they massively favor PDP, APC a close second, and LP and NNPP making a significant minority.

I can't extrapolate this to the entire country tho.

In Lagos, what I have seen:

Young Yoruba men and women (less than say 39 years of age) - People are calling them woke, soro-soke and liberal. They voted Obi.

Older Yoruba men and women.(mostly people over 39 years of age) - The voted Tinubu. They are conservative and sticking to the old guns and along tribal lines.

This is how it's playing out. Labour Party has obliterated PDP in the South. PDP votes and strongholds have now being transfered to the Labour Party except in Osun State - a state that often follows a different tangent when it comes to voting in national elections. NNPP and Labour Party breaking out of the PDP has done the party alot of damage.

Typical, the younger are worried for the future, the older are comfortable holding on to what little they have. But, calling them woke/liberal... Ha. People wanting basic rights, infrastructure and security are liberal? lol. That's why I'm not a fan of the conservative/liberal terms.
As the world seems to get more "liberal" with each generation. The terms slide as well. Perspective is everything.

Unfortunately, I saw the election through the lens of the US. And was conflicted. Happy, I guess that we have elections, but disappointed and frustrated that that's where we are as a country in the 21st century. Those images of lack of basic infrastructure and scenes of Police stealing ballot boxes. It was disappointing.

An almost accurate prediction except that Labour Party is also snatching the Christian votes in the North Central that would otherwise have gone to PDP/Atiku. Obi's hopping from church to church is paying. Obi also just won Suleja LGA, Abuja. Suleja is traditionally a PDP stronghold. PDP's fighting chances are now it's muslim stronghold in the core north.

PDP loses another stronghold in a Christian dominated LGA in South Kaduna.

An Okada Rider, Hon. Donatus K. Mathew has won the Federal House of Representatives in Southern Kaduna under Labour Party. Hon. Donatus, who contested Federal House of Representative for Kaura Federal Constituency in Southern Kaduna senatorial District, won the ticket under Labour Party.

According to reports, Mathew was an ex councilor during ex-governor Ahmed Makarfi administration in Kaduna State, but fell into hard times which led him to driving Okada.

Mathew defeated the incumbent Federal House member, Hon. Gideon Gwani Lucas of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP to emerged winner in the keenly contested election.
