What of Obaseki and Okowa. Are that also members of the G5? Obaseki has lost all senatorial seats. One of them lost to the same structureless party. Why are you not blaming the loss on the G5?

Governors who underperformed were booted out and rightly so.

Blame the loss on the popularity of Obi and their own miserable performance as governor. Even if they had supported Atiku and there was no G5, they still would have lost.

So as it stands all the G-5 but Wike are in a precarious situation as far as endorsement of presidential candidate other than Mikano man; Atiku is concerned.

1. The Enugu state governor has is the PDP senatorial candidate in his constituency. If he endorses anybody other than Atiku, the party can expel him and then write INEC that they do not have a flagbearer in the race for the seat.❌

2. The Benue state governor has is the PDP senatorial candidate in his constituency. If he endorses anybody other than Atiku, the party can expel him and then write INEC that they do not have a flagbearer in the race for the seat.❌

3. The Abia state governor has is the PDP senatorial candidate in his constituency. If he endorses anybody other than Atiku, the party can expel him and then write INEC that they do not have a flagbearer in the race for the seat.❌

4. The Oyo state governor is going for a second term in office as a PDP flagbearer . If he endorses anybody other than Atiku, the party can expel him and then write INEC that they do not have a flagbearer in the race for the seat.

PS: All these will only play out if Atiku's money is as "long" as we've been told in the past and long enough to tempt their respective ward chairmen to initiate their expulsion from the party. (We all know the role Oshiomole's ward chairman played in him losing out as the party's chairman)

In all of these I think the G-5 governors are dumb and are no way as influential as the 7 governors of PDP that defected to APC prior to the 2015 elections. Each and everyone of the G-5 governors are neophyes compared to dem Amaechi, Saraki set.

3 down! Remaining 1 man standing 😎

Did he lose his senatorial bid?

They shifted it to March on the day of gubernatorial due to death of the LP candidate so that LP can produce another candidate. But his defeat is already assured I am sure he will be pissing right now in his pant. He won't give up easily but his constituents have determined his future that he is not going anywhere.

From what I’m seeing, it’s unlikely that any candidate would hit the 25% in 24 states AND plurality of votes threshold

SIM will not lose. I can bet it with my life. Just look at how Peter Obi is struggling against Tinubu. Look at the extent Wike has gone for an opposition party candidate.

What magic will Tonye Cole and co perform?

Besides, once Atiku loses, all those Abiye Sekibo and co will start looking for soft landing and all hands will be on deck. SIMs election is 100% a done deal.
