Peter Obi was called the Internet President. They are fighting him from all angles like he is the incumbent President. I've always said it that, the only beneficiary of the Benue crisis is Ortom - he blinded his people with the shout of "miyetti Allah kautal hore" and got re-elected. He commissioned no project in 8 years. He's not paying salary of workers, he told people to have 3 weekends and go to farm and he shared wheelbarrow as a form of empowerment. But religion and tribalism got him rewarded with a second term. He organized open burial for the people he killed. He claimed Benue youths prevented him from going to Abuja and as such decamped to the PDP. Pure theatrics! People didn't really fancy PDP, but a PDP with Obi a new face would have swept them to victory. Sometimes life turns on little margins. |
