The scientific way to answer this question is that we need to find out the startup load specific to your 1.5hp inverter AC and inverter fridge.

The best way to do that is using a device that measures that startup load.

Or alternatively, share it here for others to help you decode, or you yourself studying and decoding the product datasheets.

Please i have a 2KVA 24V Genus Proton Inverter, I noticed it stopped charging my batteries up to 26V - 27V, At some point it would not go beyond 25V. Now it does not even charge the batteries at all. It comes on but just shows overload trip even with no load on it.

I use 2 nos of 200A 12V Gel deep cycle batteries

Can the inverter be repaired?
Can any one help recommend some one who can?
I also want to install 4 nos of 300W solar Panels, Any ideas what i need to look out for?

Disconnect the terminals of the inverter to the batteries and reconnect, and it will most likely resume charging

But from my own experience, inverters favour under-charging of batteries with the consequences that your batteries gets starved overtime. Even when your inverter indicates your batteries as being full, if you connect a good external charger with 3-stage charging, your batteries will continue charging, implying that were not fully charged as indicated by your inverter.

Your best bet is to get an external charger and also go solar like you have decided. For the charger, you could get the 40a Suoer charger. I use it for my 2 fullriver batteries and it eorks well

If it is confirmed that the charging function of your inverter is bad, i can connect you to someone who can repair it for you.

NiyiOmoIyunade boss greetings. I have two Victron observations I will like you to advice on:

1. I notice Fronius shows that it's back feeding into grid on VRM when the PV harvest parameters favour such, even though back feed into grid is turned off in settings. Have you observed such before? Is this normal?

2. I have some 15kva Quattros and even 10kva ( but more of the 15) that fly into overload sometimes when grid is supplied or interrupted. Any ideas what the cause could be? All are 3-phase systems and not running on ESS.
