pocohantas: A major problem is that our kind of entrepreneurship is not structured compared to Indians or Lebanese. Nothing stops people from partnering to own factories that process raw materials into semi-finished products and sell to Nigeria and the wider sub-continent. Run a standard restaurant with impeccable service delivery etc. This one that OP mentioned agriculture, it might interest me sef. 9 Likes 1 Share |

Gerrard59: Or our kinda of immigration. You don’t immigrate to Benin Republic with 200k to own factories when there are 100 mouths waiting you back home to start sending them stipends. That is an overkill. Nigerians have restaurants and supermarkets there, that I am sure of. It is actually not flowing with milk and honey as presented here. One thing common with citizens of this country is contentment. Even if you go there now, your life would be to eat, have a little savings, take some alcohol when necessary and pursue their women. 18 Likes 1 Share |

pocohantas:. My dear you are so funny... So woman don finish for Naija make person go say na woman he dey go pursue for Benin... We are talking about sane environment and access to basic amenities of life, security of life and properties and opportunities to make some dough. Who enter Benin go pursue woman na him know, a way forward is what an average Nigerian should be looking for... God bless the OP for this eye opening thread... At least the old King of tout and thuggery don become naija president... It's time for some of us to move. 4 Likes |

pocohantas: Madam I have been there several times... No be you go tell me how it works. Like I said earlier no be woman want make people go there... It's because our damn country has nothing to offer. Ask yourself where are the togolese, Benin, and Ghanians in Nigeria.. some not distance years ago you'll see them everywhere doing petty work... As of today they are nowhere to be found... Isn't that something to learn from Our country is moving backwards, who want to stay should stay. 8 Likes |

Zaksart: You have been there many times and you are arguing a known fact? Delusion or lack of understanding. No part of my post said guys go there solely for women, so I wonder where you got that from and jumping to conclusion while at it. Please, read to understand before arguing. Thank you 3 Likes 2 Shares |

pocohantas: Why do we always believe that everyone's motive of migrating is to get rich quick. Some of us desire calm and peaceful environment, where some are searching for safety, some wanna have a feel of a foreign country, some are looking for a working govt/economy while some for biz opportunities with less competition etc. No one said here is Europe or a get-rich-quick county. Some Nigerians are doing very well in naija while some are not. Same it's applicable to Benin Republic and Europe etc. Any one who plans to migrate should have a good plan or a good skill otherwise, u will be struggling. The infos shared here are for some people not for all. Life is made of different people with different perspective. Some people can't live in any other state outside lag while some say they can't live in Lagos. So don't feel your perception to life is the best bro. Benin Republic is a peaceful country with a working system that I admire alot. I always have peace of mind working around or sleeping at night. So I cherish it more than money and that doesn't mean I dislike money. Sincerely u will even perform better in this kind of society than a lawless and corrupt country whete human lives are not valued a bit. It's well 27 Likes 3 Shares |

Gate2: No one believes the aim of everyone is to get rich, but everyone knows Nigerians are first economic immigrants. I don’t know why they love to dance around this, then go ahead to start converting their earnings to Naira to feel better. All this talk of lawlessness and corruption is your own postulation and it is definitely not in contest here. Everyone knows Nigeria is lawless. My point remains, there is no milk and honey flowing in these countries and anyone going there should know that. Go there and enjoy light to charge your phone and be contented. Get ready to keep your certificate aside and hustle like you are in Yaba market. Don’t think you will be wiring back money home. Simple!! 14 Likes 5 Shares |

Austinbass12: I think the new one is lucrative cos my neighbor told me she buys from Togo to supply on credit and comes to take her money a week after. I asked her if they don't disappoint and she said no. She said it's profitable and currently looking for money to continue this biz. She took a break after giving birth. So I think it sells well and I know it will be this low quality ones. |

pocohantas: You that have been using your certificate in Nigeria, are u better off than the Alaba guyz? Smh. Who mentioned that the places are of milk and honey? They way u talk make me believe u u are not well travelled bro cos if u are, u wouldn't have said this. Do u know that Nigerian millionaires living in Benin republic and other African countries are uncountable. Are u aware that the massive growth of cotonou and Lome ports, is as a result of Nigerian importers Do u know that the 75% of the top business in Cotonou are own by Nigerians? Pls don't sit at a place and feel everyone going to an African country is there to shine shoe. When ur govt put a cost of clearance of 40ft container to something close or above 10m and Same 40ft ft can be cleared in Togo for 3m, wat do u expect? Abeg let be wise and that's why the thread was tagged *Underrated Cotonou* . Keep underrating and believing everyone going to an African country, is the to play 19 Likes 2 Shares |
