Baba-Ahmed who spoke in Hausa in an interview said INEC shouldn’t have announced the result of the Presidential election without attending to complaints and rectifying all the anomalies brought before the commission pertaining to the Presidential election.


According to him, they were going to take action in saving Nigeria and protecting the sanctity of votes cast by Nigerians.

His words: ” We are here to reiterate that the Electoral Commission is violating the law. This law was read to the Commission. It was shown to the Commission. The Commission said yes, it has seen it and would continue to violate the law until it finishes…”

Asked which law had INEC violated, he said it was Electoral Act 64 sub-section 4 and section 65 of the Electoral Act 2022 as amended.

Datti Baba-Ahmed said the Act has stipulated that it was mandatory that at the completion of an election, the result must be transmitted to what was called IIREV.

” Furthermore, an Electoral Officer must not document the election result without ensuring that the result has been transmitted to the IREV.”

When told that the INEC Chairman said that doing so was not a must, Datti Baba-Ahmed said it was a law that stands.

“Unless if a person said yes I’ve seen the law but I will not adhere to it .”

He refuted the allegation that they were raising such issues because they could not win the election, insisting that they saw victory in the long run.

“We saw that we won the election, but they started changing the result of the election before we get to anywhere.That was what happened. If we had not won the election, no one would waste his time. "

He insisted that the Electoral Act stipulated that it’s only what was inputted in the IREV that would be considered; not what was held manually.

“But they did not input it in the IREV.So with what were they conducting the election?”

When asked about why their sudden alliance with the PDP which was non-existent before now, he said those that were cheated would always have the same mission to search for justice.

” We’ve been cheated, Nigerians were cheated. That is why we came together. All Nigerians were shortchanged, it’s not only us. We are united because they cheated the whole nation. “

On the next course of action, if INEC did nothing about their grievances, he said that should be left for their political parties and the leadership to decide.

He, however, called on Nigerians to be calm and await the truth to prevail.

Only the Mauritanian refugee, Dati the Daft, can actually believe that u have to win the FCT to be elected President. I always knew that he is not gifted with intelligence & that he is barely educated but even by his low standards this is pretty dumb.Someone tell him to shut up?

Waste of time and money, you have situation room where all result announced at individual polling unit through your agents that witnessed the public counting after election. Your agent signed the sheets and also recorded/forward scores to LP situation rooms. Agent keep following and monitoring the vote count till they get to collation centers.

All your agents, party leaders, international representatives and ECOWAS designated members were all seated when precoding officers were submitting the voting record which was televized life to entire world. INEC portal was also opened and every party member was asked to validate scores received from each polling unit against uploaded results for correction. LP or PDP could not come out to say, polling unit this and that was different from what was counted at each polling unit and signed.

LP and PDP couldn't couldn't come out with glaring evidences on that , but when they discovered they have failed woefully, they started looking for excuses or other faults for entire work to be canceled because they are bad loosers. LP has shifted focus from election was rigged to electoral law on electronic transmission which will easily be dismissed at law court. You can't determine mode to use for INEC wheather manual or electronic. If there is technical issue or network disruption beyond what can be handled, INEC should be able to switch mode for success of election.

If polling result recorded and signed at polling units are different from what INEC announced, then; LP and PDP have points. However, their allegations are baseless and time wasting. Even when PDP thought they have strong evidences in 2019, defending those allegations were embarrassing and was dismissed. How much more LP that wants to base their exhibit on emotional online result from obidient that are known for fabricating lies, fake results and propagandas? It will be dismissed, even if election is redone now, LP will perform poorer those other ethnic may not vote for him again.

Aside this, if some polling units are to be rerun, where would obi get about 2.6milion vote to bridge APC gaps. LP won about 16 states, where will LP gets 7 more states when they even find it difficult to find one more. LP and PDP should stop wasting money, they have failed

In hind sight I now know the whole thing was pre-arranged by the powers that be. Nothing was left to chance. Allowing the results to be uploaded would be leaving it to chance. There had to be absolute guarantee that the desired result would be attained!
