SUPERPACK: If he's a traditionalist, he might make good his threats but if he's a modern guy, male child means nothing. In igbo culture, a daughter might decide to carry on the family name buy not marrying and give birth to a child illegitimately, so not having a male child is not an excuse for a second wife 1 Like |

In Igbo Tribe and In Africa as a whole,Male child is important... All girl child or female daughter will one day change their surname... Only a male child can continue the name of the lineage for another generation to come... All child is important but male child is importanta 3 Likes |

[quote author=folake4u post=121435781] The way you guys throw out culture is insane, who would not love their children both male and female, because you are educated you want to tell u don't see why having a male child is important!! Haba in Africa!! How many female fighters are fighting in Ukraine? Please don't get me wrong girls are as much that important to us, but there is a reason why the word "Manpower exists, and male children are important to handle such things in a good guidance from the ladies as well, that's how created it, may we no dey form anything cos we got western education, even china, India and so on nobody want to lose his culture and having a male child is a great feat to attain both for the husband and wife] 2 Likes 1 Share |

It's only a useless culture that gonna value a male child more than a female child... Such culture is bad and lack humanity... There is a difference between reality and culture.... Can you tell couples who got married for almost 5 to 10 years ain't got no children and God later gave them females child after all... Can a culture brainwashed such man that a male child is valuable than a female child.... Think deep.............. I support reality coz God is the given a child no human... |
