More people have joined the circling of potholes with spray paint as it is seemingly the only way to get the South African government to fix them.

Last month, a man tired of potholes shared a TikTok video of himself circling potholes he came across, leaving an “ANC’” mark beside them. The ANC (African National Congress) is that national governing party in SA.

The same man later shared a video of municipal workers fixing them.

Some argue the argue is not appropriate as different towns and cities are governed by different political parties or coalitions.

In 2022, SA reportedly had more than a whopping 25 million potholes. This is 10 million more holes than it did five years ago.
