Only Netflix is the profitable streaming platform at the moment. ONLY HBOMax could join them soon (2024) while the others still languishing in massive loss making.

These two just shows that being the cheaper streaming alternative doesn't necessarily mean you'll make money. You'll surely attract subscribers tho.

WBD is already prepping to launch it's combined HBOMax + DiscoveryPlus streaming service.

A Man called OTTO "2022"

O.T.T.O.!

This strip down version of Clint Eastwood's Gran Torino (2008) sees Tom Hanks play the titular character, a grumpy and solitary man whose grumpiness is explained through a side by side back story, with Tom Hanks actual real life son playing his younger version. His life is seemingly turned upside down when a new family moves in next to him. Despite his initial reluctance, Otto is drawn into their lives and learns the value of love, family, and community. Hanks is really solid as Otto and brings his warmth and humor to the role, while still maintaining plenty of grumpiness. But Mariana Treviño was the standout as Marisol one of the new neighbors. She brought an immense amount of charm to the role and makes her disarming of Otto's gruff exterior completely believable. The film has a warm hearted message along with some deeper themes of loss and longing, but at the same time it plays out quite predictably making the overall drama feel more generic than it is emotionally moving. It's a cute film nonetheless, and a pretty easy recommendation.

So which one is better tho? Gran torino was lit. And Clint was a 101% badass to the end.

lol will totally depend on context tho. I absolutely loved Gran Torino but i will easily put this for a Family's movie night before Gran Torino.

Brendan Fraser delivers a performance of a lifetime, he really made me tear up a few times.

As for Sadie Sink, I think she's kinda always typecast for sadistic roles, and to be frank, she's really great at it. I thought she was a sadist in Stranger Things until i saw this movie.
