*OBIDIENT AS METAPHOR FOR INTEGRITY AND CREDIBILITY* The idea behind the hashtag #Obidient Movement which drove the Peter Obi presidential campaigns on social media was anchored on the need for integrity and credibility in public service. It is not about Labour Party as it were. Peter Obi took the political arena by the storm with his messages of hope that set the internet on fire. He explained how he resisted pressures to succumb to conventional behavior by political office holders. He served as governor of Anambra state diligently without helping himself to the public till. He rejected many pecks of office and stuck to what was needed to serve his people. Peter Obi was averse to squandering public resources on frivolities, his integrity got many people thinking and by the time he declared to be president, Nigerians saw the messiah they have been yearning for in him. That was what birthed the Obidient Movement. The movement was driven by ordinary Nigerians particularly the youths who have suffered more from the irresponsible leadership in the country. The Church also took the Peter Obi movement as a project and most Church leaders encouraged their members to support the Labour Party. Most of these Church fathers do not belong to any political party. Millions of Nigerians, particularly the elites who can reason with their heads signed up to the Obidient movement not because Labour Party is the best political party but because of the integrity of the candidate. Many APC and PDP members also join the movement and voted Peter Obi on February 25th. The implication is that the feat attained by Peter Obi in the 2023 presidential election was a product of the resilience, doggedness and unquenchable desire for good governance by the people. Today, after the 2023 presidential election believed to have been won by Peter Obi by a section of the Nigeria populace, the movement has suddenly become the toast of all Nigerians. The PDP, which haunted Awin Atare, a social media influencer that allegedly started the movement, now court the Obidient family ahead of the March 11 polls. The PDP has suddenly found a new love in the movement and now want to align with Peter obi to fight a common enemy in the APC. What PDP fails to realize is that the Obidient Movement goes beyond Labour Party or even Peter Obi. And as I stated in an earlier article, there is no good or bad political party in Nigeria. The candidates should be examined on the merit of their moral, academic, social and psychological lushness. The Obidient Movement is about integrity of the candidate and capacity to deliver. There is no blind support for just anybody simply because he align with the movement. It doesn’t work that way or else the movement would have lost its taste and meaning and all that it stands for. Some candidates won elections on February 25th on the Labour platform because the force was uncontrollable and the anger that drove it wanted a total result. March 11 can and should never be so! I dare say that many of those who voted Labour Party on February 25, will never touch LP with the longest pole available in the house of assembly polls. On February 25, yours sincerely, who voted Peter Obi, overheard many Obidient advocates telling those who cared to listen that they were voting Peter Obi and that on March 11, it will be the turn of All APC Candidates for State House of Assembly. It is all about integrity and capacity. Many of those Church leaders who voted for Peter Obi will not vote for Labour Party or PDP on March 11. They know what they wanted and will go for it otherwise, the movement will lose steam. The people know the difference between APC and PDP. The people are angry with Governor Godwin Obaseki and would want to teach him some hard lessons on March 11. Godwin Obaseki mismanaged the PDP in the state and there are thousands of PDP members that will not vote for the party in the coming elections. Let me say this loud and clear, March 11 is about integrity of the candidates and the quest for the best for the people. Edolites will not fall for the antics of those clamouring for any collaboration between PDP and Labour Party. This writer disagree with those PDP elements who would want Edolites to believe that APC rigged Peter Obi out and that APC should be rejected even if the party parades the best materials. It was PDP that rigged against Labour Party in Edo State and if anything, their anger should be directed at PDP on March 11. Godwin Obaseki ran away with election materials and personnel in Oredo so as to rig LP blind yet PDP has the gut to cry blue murder when the final result did not favour them. All APC Candidates for State House of Assembly is the real deal for Edolites on March 11. For those Obidient family members who desire good governance, performance and development in Edo State, All APC Candidates for State House of Assembly is the answer. The Obidient movement is not about political parties but personality and excellence. To vote a known failure because he identifies with Obidient is an aberration. The only candidate that fit into the Obidient ideology in Edo State all house State House of Assembly Candidates. Vote APC Family for a new and better Edo State! There is an *Amahor* saying that when you fight a witch doctor, make sure you finish him once and for all less he reinforce to hurt you again. A complete routing of Governor Godwin Obaseki is to reject All PDP Family especially Marcus Inubu on March 11 so the Benin tyrant can go and lick his wounds. March 11 is *Kukei Umoye, Esq,* for Igueben Constituency. *Rt. Hon. Victor Edoror* and his colleagues in APC, are in a collective mission to stop Governor Obaseki and *retrieve* Edo State House of Assembly from his *wallet.* *Rt. Hon. Edoror,* for Esan Central Constituency. *Hon. Jonathan Ibhamawu,* for Esan West Constituency. *Barr. Addeh Isibor,* for Esan North East 1 Constituency. *Pharm. Kenny Okojie,* for Esan North East 2 Constituency. *Hon. Elvis Uwadiale,* for Esan South East Constituency. day of glory. *Let us vote for them to complete the circle.* *Henry J writes from the Virgin forest of Amahor* 1 Like

OmoFiditi: Do a simple google search Mr. Richard Edebiri is the Candidate of the Labour Party in Uhunmwode. He has served as Commissioner for Agriculture to Governor Godwin Obaseki. He is currently the Local Government Liaison Officer for Uhunmwode appointed by Governor Godwin Obaseki last month. Obaseki bought the House of Assembly Labour Party form for Richard Edebiri as a second choice if PDP fails. Don't be deceived. *Say NO to Obaseki in Labour*

Poorly scripted propaganda. Edo people are wise and would never settle for APC who massively rigged the election to their favour. Gov Obaseki should be commended for allowing the will of Edo people to prevail despite the voters oppression and rigging by his counterparts. APC is fighting a lost cause and trying to sway obidients to your antics is ridiculous. PDP has shown commitment to good governance and has a track record of implementing policies and projects that benefit the people. I strongly urge all Edolites to vote PDP all through for continuity, growth and stability. 4 Likes |

NOTICE NOTOCE NOTICE: Do you want your shops and markets to be taken over by Tony Kabaka and other Lions and Tigers? Do you want our widows to be told "go and die" for simply having an honest living? Do you want to wait for another 50 years to collect your CofO? Do you want the reign of terror back in our state again, where we cannot sleep with our eyes closed for fear of being attacked or killed in broad day light? Do you want your school of nursing, which is adjudged as the best in sub Sharan Africa to be de-accredited again? Do you want your parents and relatives to be owed 8 months of salary? Do you want our pensioners to be dieing daily and fainting because they are doing useless verification? Do you want to vote in those who rigged the last presidential election that denied millions their inalienable rights to elect their leader? So, if you want these, then this is the Yoke APC placed on our neck for years in Edo state. A state without plan and direction, ruled by rogues and thugs in the guise of government. If you want to continue in this peace and serenity with major reforms in all sectors of the economy, vote for all PDP candidates in the forthcoming House of Assembly election in Edo and ensure continuity of policy. Vote PDP!

Can you just stop this cacophonous canard and false narrative? APC was just an unmerited gainer in the Feb25 presidential and NASS elections in Edo state - apc has been rejected and completely dead in Edo since 2020. You should hv told the public that apc has no candidates for the forthcoming HoA election because the good people of Edo are not ready to reward those dissidents group who betrayed the mandate given to them by their constituents just for a cheap loyalty to their feudal lord Oshiomhole since 2020 when they refused to be inaugurated. We don't want thuggery, hooliganism, agberoism, brutaities again in Edo State - and these are the trademarks of apc regime in Edo. Vote wisely #VoteEdoPDPHoACandidates

First we ask you to present your candidates, you refused, because you know they are not credible. Trying to use the obidient against the PDP will not work for you because the obidient will not succum to your propaganda just to bring Governor Obaseki down. Governor obaseki has pleded with the Edo people, and they are ready to help him finish strong because the Edo people voted him there and are not willing to give chance to any APC in Edo government. . ronalmagic10: |
