Spy360:There are more stars in the Galaxy than grains of sand on the Earth. More Galaxies in the Universe than grains of sand on the Earth. So you believe your God/creator made Galaxies and Universes of untold and unimaginable size and dropped sentient beings in only a tiny blue dot of it? It is highly improbable that there is no other life in the universe. |

stxrlight: For real, Obi is goated. I've been shouting for weeks how this man would be studied in all political studies around the world. The impact of the internet in Africa, how good triumphs over evil. The man has been low-key steadily selling himself and nigerians finally bought it. Nobody really knew this man this time last year but his rise has been nothing short of thunderous and phenomenal. A tiny party with 5,000 votes in the last election winning 7-9 million votes at least. That's a modern day miracle. I can't wait for him to recover his stolen mandate. It's been confirmed on the inec portal that he won bayelsa hands down. APC didn't meet the 25% requirement in bayelsa. It's looking very likely obi won 17 states but was rigged in 5; rivers, bayelsa, akwaibom, benue and taraba. 6 Likes 3 Shares |

After all is said and done, one still has to recognize the progress that INEC have made, Even though the final stage was botched. The bivas was truly a game changer in the sense that it severely checkmated an old common form of electoral malpractice. The random thumbprinting. One where people would snatch ballot boxes to steal the INEC voting slips then thumbprint multiple times, the new law that stated that valid votes cannot be more than accredited voters of the bivas was game changing. It made rigging more difficult, because whatever magic you wanted to happen, it must happen within the number of bivas accredited voters, and accreditation can only happen with actual human beings who had registered! Very good development here. No 2. 50 thousand new polling units. The spread of new polling units across the country helped in 2 major ways, 1. Closer access to the polls or better convenience for voters and 2. Reduction of access to the polling units by politicians. That second point was a major game changer. In previous elections gone by where there were fewer polling units, it was much easier for politicians and their thugs to visit the few polling units on election day and cause one trouble or the other, either voter intimidation, ballot snatching, delibrate frustration of INEC logistics to particular polling units, but with many more polling units, it had become increasingly difficult for a governor or his thugs to cover even a quarter of polling units on election day. Their impact can only reach a few polling unit now. The opening of many new polling units across the country was a master stroke. Positive value all around. 3. The IREV. Obviously this was a failure last week but the thought process behind it was superb even though politicians frustrated it. This would have been the ultimate checkmate to governors power and manipulation. And it could still very well be. This concept has brought us up to par with modern democracies, in the sense that if it was working very well, we don't even need INEC to officially declare the winner before we know because from your home you could calculate the winner of the election. Just like in the US where the media houses have dedicated data analysts where they calculate the results at precinct level live as it falls in and they're able to make projections that very night. If the IREV had worked as expected, then Nigeria would have had a fair result! Mind you, not "free" seeing as lots of people were disenfranchised but at least fair, in the sense that those who indeed voted will have had their votes counted accurately and without final manipulation. But note that we are still seeing an impact of the IREV. The fact that they seem to actually upload the legit results now on their portal has enabled people to still make the calculations with a strong hope of the tribunal getting it right at their judgements and people knowing exactly which candidates won their units and wards. While we decry the failure of INEC in their coalition, we can also highlight the positive impacts they've made this far. Use this link to verify your polling unit result and post this link on your WhatsApp for others to do the same and verify their polling unit results. https://www.inecelectionresults.ng/elections/types 1 Like 1 Share |

Labor party on track to get much more national assembly seats that were illegally announced for many candidates. At least 30 more reps and 5 senators, imo state Senate and reps, bayelsa reps, akwaibom reps, ebonyi Senate and reps. And 7 rep seats in rivers including Hilda dokubo. When. All is said and done, labor will have about 70+ reps and at least 15 Senators. Not bad for a party without structure. 2 Likes |

Bombblacks:Thanks for commenting. Your assertion is based on assumption. Mine is based on probability. So far from what we have seen from near by stars and indeed galaxies there's no sign of life. In over a billion planetary bodies investigated, there is no single sign of even amoeba. That's earth in over a billion samples of planets. That probability is high. If we go by that, the chances of finding life any where in the universe is as impossible as the chances of finding a particular mustard seed in the sands of all the beaches on the earth put together. With all our technology, no single sign accross the observable universe. The fact that any alien life has not even contacted us speaks volumes is another big sign. Worst still, we will never know because the universe is constantly expanding faster than the speed of light. The fact that we will never know, has brought us to an inevitable conclusion. |

A001:Your comment in the bolded means you are not a scientific person. My brother forget it. You are not a scientist. Science is based on theories, those theories as far as the world of science and knowledge is concerned, remain absolute until proven otherwise. If you cannot make absolute statements, then you shouldn't argue about any topic at all. If your dog dies, and you bury it. Then someone asks you about your dog. Will you say 'well I can't make an absolute statement about what happened to my dog'? I have used science to prove my point, I have used philosophy to prove my point, I have used probability to prove my point, then all you did was to wish them away by simply claiming you don't accept absolute statements even though they are scientific theories. |

Spy360:Making absolute statements is a bad practice in science, and scientists hardly do that. And no theory and laws are absolute in science. Absolute truth doesn't exist in science where everything is questioned and improved upon from time to time. You obviously don't understand science at all. The other day, you said science makes drugs and bombs to kill people. Only a layman makes this kind of erroneous statements as science isn't a person. Humans use science to make drugs and bombs to harm themselves, and there's good science; there's bad science. The choice of which one to use is up to the humans. No astronomer or astrophysicist worth his salt would tell you with certainty that life only exists on earth. The consensus is life is only known to exist on earth. Scientists don't make absolute statements. Check NASA page and see what I'm talking about: https://exoplanets.nasa.gov/faq/5/is-there-life-on-other-planets/# https://www.seti.org/ Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence (SETI) is a vibrant institute dedicated to finding life on other planets apart from Earth and millions of dollars have been spent by the body toward this cause. You don't know more than these experts. But here you're concluding that life only exists on this planet, even though the experts in the field don't believe that. One of the factors driving the development of telescopes and observatories today is the search for life on other planets. What the experts in that field say is that they don't know if life exists elsewhere apart from Earth. That's how scientists talk, not making absolute statements to prove your God exists. |
