Hello house, It's being 1 week 4 days since I contacted my council for a date for my citizenship ceremony but i am still informed i have been added to a waiting list as there isn't any available dates. They have confirmed being in possession of my paper work from home office. Please has anyone experienced this delay in getting a date for their citizenship ceremony? |

I got my citizenship approved yesterday the 6th of March 2023 and called my council today who booked me in for ceremony next week Thursday 16th of March 2023. I had my biometric done on the 18th of January 2023 despite booking immediately after Indefinite to remain decision on the 18th of of December 2022. Timeline ILR - Biometric (Super priority)- 18/12/23 Indefinte to remain decision - 19/12/23 Citizenship application- 20/12/23 Citizenship Biometric - 18/01/23 Citizenship Approval - 06/03/23 Called Council to book ceremony - 07/03/23 Ceremony date by Council - 16/03/23 Duration of Citizenship approval -1 month 2wks. Thanks everyone for all the support since this journey started in 2017 July/August for first Application. foxyvisa: 3 Likes |

I think it depends on the Borough as I have to choose a more popular Borough where I sue to live which is 30 minutes away from where I live now. Just call them to remind them. Hopefully they will have a date for you. foxyvisa: |

Hello everyone, Congratulations to everyone. Has anyone experienced not having the super priority payment option when completing the ILR application form? I really don't want the standard option. Thanks. |

Lamakinde: Yesssss! You got a shorter application processing duration than myself. Congratulations |
Re: ILR Application (SET M) by foxyvisa: 9:04pm On Mar 09, 2023 |
Lamakinde: You are right about the borough and council differences. I was informed my council conducts group ceremonies once every 6 weeks😳 I eventually opted for a paid private citizenship ceremony. Happy to report, I had my ceremony today the 9th. 2 weeks 3 days from receipt of Naturalisation approval. Passport application submitted, awaiting response. |

teejay231: The super priority slots are usually released at midnight every day. I managed to get a slot at exactly 12:05 midnight. I kept refreshing the browser tab from 11:50pm. Good luck |

Thank you so much. Wasn't sure why I couldn't see that option. I assumed they had paused it. foxyvisa: 1 Like |

Massive congratulations. I have recently gotten my COS but have yet to apply for my T2 visa because my company cannot provide me with enough hours to meet up with the salary requirement, meaning my annual salary will not be up to the required £25,600. Will this affect me when I get to the ILR application? What do you advise, please? Please can you state the requirement for the ILR application? I need all the help from people who have gotten to that stage. Thank you. |

Thanks. My route is through the spousal visa. The ILR requirements and eligibility for T2 formerly called Tier 2 visas are in that link below. https://www.gov.uk/indefinite-leave-to-remain-tier-2-t2-skilled-worker-visa Financial requirements when you can be paid less is as follows according to gov.uk site. If you do not meet the usual salary requirements, and you do not work in healthcare or education, you might still be eligible if your annual salary will be at least £20,480. You must still be paid at least £10.10 per hour. You do not have to be paid £25,600 if the main job you’re sponsored for: is on the list of healthcare and education shortage occupations is on the list of all other shortage occupations was on one of these lists when you applied for your Skilled Worker or Tier 2 (General) visa You also do not have to be paid £25,600 if you were sponsored for a Tier 2 (General) visa in one of the following occupation codes: 2111 Chemical scientists 2112 Biological scientists and biochemists 2113 Physical scientists 2114 Social and humanities scientists 2119 Natural and social science professionals not elsewhere classified 2150 Research and development managers 2311 Higher education teaching professionals DashBCU: |

nkembaby008: You Will definitely need the BRP before applying for naturalisation. |

I am due to apply for my ILR / spouse visa, my 3 dependants under 18yrs have not lived in uk for 5yrs but I have read online they can be added to my ILR application as there is no 5yr rule for dependeants when applying for ilr. Is this correct please? |

Sorry for the delayed response. Since you are on this thread, I am guessing your spouse is British, if that is the case, then the answer is yes, you can add your dependants under 18yrs to your ILR application even if they haven't lived here for 5 years. evenda: |

Hi hi, Finally read all through the pages and please I have questions. I will start with one and then that might answer some of the questions.. In this ILR calculator https://immigrationstory.uk/en-gb/tools/ilr-calculator, in the field where it asks for "When was the start date of your first relevant visa that goes toward the continuous period for this ILR application?".. Do i type in the date on the letter i got from my first application when i went to the UK embassy? the one that states the period which my initial spousal visa qualifies for? e.g. 15th Sept 2019 - 15th Sept 2022 for the first spousal visa i got , therefore i type in 15th Sept 2019 in the field for start date of first relevant visa OR I type in the date on my first BRP when i got into the UK which was for e.g. 1st Sept 2019 and dated 2 weeks before the 15th Sept 2019 which was on the letter? Note: A question came up during my FLR M spousal visa extension ( What is the start date of your current visa or leave to remain) and i inputted date on my BRP, e.g. 1st Sept 2019 which was the date of issue on my 1st BRP. Thanks for any help i can get I have more questions incoming |
Re: ILR Application (SET M) by newbie715: 8:12pm On Jun 10 |
profemebee: Going by the question asked on the calculator link, the start date of your first relevant visa is the date on the actual visa but 2 weeks isn't a big deal in the grand scheme of things because if you are in doubt, you could wait out 2 weeks before putting in your application. Are you trying to apply on the day it is bang on 5 years? |
Re: ILR Application (SET M) by profemebee(m): 9:28am On Jun 11 |
Hi, thanks for the response tbh i don't really know when i'm going to apply.. i still have more questions to ask that will determine when i will apply.. .i haven't even done UK Life in the UK test I just want to first know which of the dates to use as the "When was the start date of your first relevant visa that goes toward the continuous period for this ILR application?" in the calculation done in https://immigrationstory.uk/en-gb/tools/ilr-calculator The start date i was permitted to enter the UK which was stated on the first visa letter which i got while in Nigeria during my first spousal visa application OR the date of issue on my first BRP which was 2 weeks before the start date i was permitted to enter the UK (this is what i used in my spousal visa FLR M extension application) Also, i have been out of the UK for about 80days newbie715: 1 Like |
Re: ILR Application (SET M) by Divine88: 5:08pm On Jun 11 |
profemebee:you start counting towards your ILR the first day you entered into the country i.e the 1st time you were stamped at the border. If you've been out for about 80 days, just increase 2 weeks or so before you apply, as this would cover your 5 years |
Re: ILR Application (SET M) by profemebee(m): 5:58pm On Jun 11 |
so this means whether i go with the date on my 1st BRP or the date on the visa letter in the ILR calculator doesn't really matter It is the day i was physically in the uk that matters then.. I will input the BRP date (because this is the same date i used in my spousal visa FLR M extension application) when asked for and look at the results in the ILR calculator... thanks I need to be consistent with the dates so i'm not putting different dates in the application from what i put earlier.. I'm asking because i need to know what date to put in the "When was the start date of your first relevant visa that goes toward the continuous period for this ILR application?" in the ILR calculator so it can determine what day i can apply from Divine88: |
