I tell people, if by chance I'm to choose any religion, it won't be christianity. And if I'm to choose a Christian denomination, it would be Catholics(remember I'm a former Pentecostal). So why Catholicism?
1. They tend to be more accommodating in their love. They don't discriminate

I no dey go church like that". And for Catholics they stop taking unholy communion while dodging mass and praying rosary.

I was a Catholic. I'll be honest, I'm grateful I was.

Are they more accommodating? Kinda. Some priests have the 'Nigerian' mentality, the parishioners too. Others are extremely nice.

Catholics hardly condemn others. They believe in purgatory, meaning they even believe some bad people have hope of attaining heaven after atoning for their sins there. That's one of the reason I could never worship I'm a Pentecostal church. I can't stand the hate, self-righteousness and hypocrisy.

I also enjoyed the ritual of mass... Outsiders might not get it, but it's something I'll always love.

Yes I am FRANCISTOWN, an ex-catholic . Why did I move out of Catholic? Catholic couldn't answer my questions, I started receiving communion at a very early age I was probably 6, did confirmation at a very tender age as well, prolly 9. Knew all kinds of rosary and even the exceedingly long "Thank you Jesus" rosary. Served on the altar. I cannot deny that.
I read the Bible upandan, front and back, right middle left, clockwise and anti-clockwise , read the novenas and the story of saints. What started the journey was one of St. Augustine's note where he said "If not for these miracles, I wouldn't have believed" . That was where the light that would later go on to destroy the darkness began. Then I thought, lemme look for these miracles too, so I went worship with Redeem, attended services at Shimawa Redemption Camp HQ, Stone Church, before I finally became a full member of Living faith (winners). All those rat races I was busy looking for a personal experience and anything that can solidify my faith in God. I realised these pentecostals are nothing but to shout upandan. Then I left and went back to being a Catholic. That was when I finally realised that (and thru some books authored by very intelligent people), it wasn't that God is not in Catholic, it is that God does not exist anywhere. I became disillusioned.
