codemaniacs: You are using the term academy players generically, so I am not too sure what you mean ❓ I had this confusion with someone here, his son was playing for a Sunday local team in England and he described it as a football ⚽ academy. |
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2025 And 2026 World Cup by komekn(m): 10:23am On Mar 09, 2023 |
typicalgamer: Right now I could assemble a collection of TRUE U20 Nigerian origin players just in England playing in EPL Academies to playing first team in Championship and League one that would probably win the tournament. However, there will be no room for NFF godFatherism, under the table deals, preferred interest, Egunje, etc. Therefore it will never happen. |

komekn: You know you could just drop their names here? Like a starting eleven of the best Nigerian u-20 players in English academies and lower divisions... We will follow them up from here... Who knows when one of them will "blow" sooner? 6 Likes |

Odunayaw: If the results keep pouring in for example. They guarantee silverware in any tourney or even a good showing i don’t see why it’s not sustainable. Downside is that you’ll need to crop out new sets of u20 after every tourney because almost all of them would be signed out |

TheGoodJoe: The sad truth is that these players management team, do their best to mitigate zero competition. Because i could beat my chest and tell, that our u17 for 2019 World Cup lost 2 pickups games to random u17 picked from open trials. Still none of those randoms made the team. Rather they took those boys as fans with the squad over to Brazil. That’s my Nigeria for you. Streets beats academy anytime anyday no buts about it 1 Like 1 Share |

TheGoodJoe: Don’t mind that guy it’s only in Nigeria, that an u20 player that plays for the national team is not mature enough to play for the league. You must cross 25 first lol 😂. Top European country as at 17-18 you’re slugging it out with the best your league has to offer 1 Like |

oloriooko: It’s our style of play. Jam body football or load the ball upfield to the opponent’s box and hope for the best. No technical ability Just think for ground like garri 😂 That’s why northern African teams smoked us those guys are flexible and technically gifted as fxck 1 Like |

Good evening house, i made this analytic dashboard for the nigeria premier Football league. It was tough getting data as there were little statistic information especially regarding players performance and our clubs website were not of help either. Some clubs with websites have little or no Data information about there players at all even the top ones. Some don't even own a site. Thanks to goal.com and naijafootballers social media handles, i was able to create a dataset from scratch with i was for analysis. This analysis does not include the rescheduled match between Rivers United and Enugu Rangers for matchday 8. I'm posting this first here to hear your reviews and recommendations before i proceed to make it public. 13 Likes 3 Shares
