Xscape1993: Obidients are olodo. And most of this lawyers are just looking for ways to eat from Obi and Atiku. The law is so clear, it doesn't give a priority to a particular state that should be won. The law only include Abuja as a sub to the states, since Abj is not a state that's why the constitution spell it outward of the 36 states. It's not mandatory to win in Abuja. All you need do is to get 25% in 2/3rd of the states. And 2/3rd of the 36 states is 24. So, in case a candidate has 25% in only 23 states, but still has 25% in Abuja so such candidate can be declared winner. Note: Is not compulsory to win Abuja as long as you met the 25% in 2/3rd of the 36 states. 1 Like |

But why didn't INEC give a clear interpretation of this when the SAN inquire for clarification? The SAN asked for clarification five weeks before the election as if he knew what was going to happen and INEC never did. I don't know how this man called Mahmood rose to status of a professor honestly. |

More than 10 candidates contested, Tinubu scored the highest number of votes with a landslide, and at least 25% in 31 states of the federation, and you're here crying for a rerun. Who will now face Tinubu for the rerun? No other candidate, not even Atiku who came distant 2nd, is qualified for the rerun as non of them has the minimum requirement. Note: To qualify for a rerun, it's either a candidate has the highest votes but has 25% & above in less than 24 states of the federation. OR if candidate(s) who came 2nd or 3rd etc has/have 25% and above in 24 states, while the candidate with the highest votes failed to have 25% & above in up to 24 states of the federation. In the case of Tinubu, he won the election fair and square. |

IgOga:Lol... Nicely put. The English used in the constitution is very clear to those of us who are sound in the language and history. FCT is the 37th state just like Femi Falana, SAN has rightly stated. Congrats to the former Exxon Mobil technocrat, the Nigerian President-elect Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Adekunle Tinubu, and the Nigerian Vice President-elect, Senator Kashim Shetima who is an accountant and former senior banker. "Bow down!" 1 Like 1 Share |
