stuffs2002:Young man, stop this narrative of IPOB this IPOB that. I am a Yoruba man and I don't think you know more than me and you cannot wish or love my tribe more than me. All this energy you're dissipating on Igbo people it you had used half of it on your people, the level of poverty and capital flight due to almajiri system would have gone down drastically. I will advise you face your north and leave the southern Nigeria for the owners. Yes, Musuliu Obanikoro contested against Fashola in 2007. In 2011 Shamsideen Adegboye contested against Fashola. In 2015 it was Jimi Agbaje against Ambode. In 2003 it was Funsho Williams against Tinubu. In 1999 it was Dapo Sarumi all these from PDP. The worst was in 2019 where APC handlers ethnicised the process and started calling Jimi Agbaje Igbo candidate that he wants to sell their land to Igbo and make Igbo to control Lagos stake and that singular act really worked against him. Now in 2023, you people have started again. Every opposition have always been labelled on one thing or the other or cut off like they did to Funsho Williams. Why all this political bitterness? 1 Like |

IfnobeGod20:You have made some valid point with respect to Agberoism, but Rome is not built in a day, it would be a self servicing deception to think they can be cleared over night without equipping them with the right skill set and work on their mental state in doing away with their craving for free money. Well I am glad you said President Emmanuel Macron was once a Finance Minister, so at least he has some sort of immersion in the workings of government. The Kwara State Governor, I really don't know about his experience and won't want to say anything, moreover Kwara is not a bustling city like Lagos where things have to and must be seen to be working. Except we don't want to admit the coinage Mafia cannot be use to describe those who controls the economic machinery of Lagos, unless you can prove to me they are running a criminal organization and I don't think a consulting company is registered as a criminal organization neither are those benefiting one way or the other from government, from the waste disposals to other utility service firm. I think to answer the Big Question which is Oga Ambode matter, well I can't say I know or was privilege to the inner working of government at the time, but it was something we can all see that Oga Ambode was trying to take food off the table of political foot soldiers in the waste disposals sector, by bringing in his own so call international waste disposal firm , that would definitely have political consequences, but of course they might be other things I can't see that might also have dire political consequences and remember Politics is about interest, it is not personal. |

IfnobeGod20: Betraying your own will not make them love you. They will only use you and dump you. Nelson Mandela was arrested and jailed because a black south African man betrayed him to the whites apartheid government. Ask yourself what happened to the black man afterwards. |

stuffs2002: Funny creature. Has the North not controlled the leadership of this country for most of its existence including the current government that has turned out to be worse than any in our history. What have you gained from all these years of Northern control of our government? Nothing! It won’t surprise me a bit if another failure in life like you ever becomes president. The country is badly cursed with you people that only pull everyone down with you rather than make any meaningful progress. You can hate the Igbos all you want, but you can’t take away our prowess in doggedness, entrepreneursim, education, entertainment, arts and culture. Just think about that! |

olabright31:Mr. Man, you're not engaging a novice. I have told you Afonja is synonymous to Ilorin. Afonja is a name of Ilorin warrior that fought against Fulani in Ilorin. You guys should stop misleading unsuspecting Nigerians with lies. You people always throw up this picture below. How does Tinubu cap on top of goat head and inscription of Afonja underneath becomes Yoruba symbol? Or has Tinubu cap becomes Oduduwa insignia that I didn't know? If Igbos are calling Yoruba Afonja. Have you sat down to even know the meaning of Afonja or you just take it hook line and sinker that Afonja connotes abuse. Mr. Man, please apply common sense. Afonja is a good name and a warrior and not derogatory please. Read an extract from Google search and clear your mind. "Afonja of Ilorin was the "Are-Ona-Kakanfo", or chief military leader, of the Oyo Empire. Laderin, the great-grandfather of Afonja, was the founder of Ilorin city. He was succeeded by his son, Pasin, a powerful warrior who became a threat and target to, Basorun Gaha, because of his rising profile". You people will just be looking for what is not lost. If a tribe have been erroneously calling a name as that made it a bad thing when they don't even know the meaning.

tomax026: GRV won't reverse all this things.. I will rather vote Sanwoolu as he already has a great initiative to reduce traffic or atleast creat a great alternative with the rails..that is why it was never a bigger regret replacing him with Ambode who completely abandoned it |

stuffs2002:Please who is not my own between SanwoOlu and Gbadebo? Please my guy apply common sense. Both are Yoruba men but both own Lagos more than the other. As Gbadebo is more Lagosian than SanwoOlu. Just face the issue if the north and leave us to manage our affairs in the south west. Nobody is more Yoruba than the other, so far your baba na for Yoruba e forefathers be. |

peoplewww: I don't know why you feel attacked, i guess most Nigerians are allergic to "rhetoric" The entire Nigeria is a shit hole becos we Ignore the ideal things and settle for mediocre all the time. Yoruba adage says, One rich man among 100 poor people, all of them are poor, people need to look beyond Lagos and enforce development in there region, that is the only way forward. If you want to enjoy Lagos wait till december period when our almighty tenants travel |

jackcanfield:Please are you telling me or the world that those that have governed or still governing Lagos have two heads. Please Lagos is the simplest state to govern in Nigeria, you know why because of its abundant effects that brings money to them. Have say down and ask yourself why those that have worked in Lagos before as part of government don't do better outside Lagos? You know why? Lagos peculiarity cannot be gotten anywhere in Nigeria. Aregbesola was a super commissioner for works in Lagos, when he went to govern Osun, what was the result? Oyetola was part of Tinubu government. What was his impact in in the same state? Tunde Fowler was tax collector guru that brought the exploit of tax generation to the level appreciable but was given the same task at federal level as director of FIRS but he failed woefully and had to be sacked. What was the significant things done by Amosun in Ogun state? What has been the impact of Lai Mohammed in the ministry of information but he was the arrowhead of proliferation of information outlet in Lagos during Tinubu tenure. What of Fashola that told us the generation and distribution of electricity is not a rocket science but for over 3 years, he turned the country to darkness and instead the price per unit of electricity went beyond ordinary man. Today the ministry of works is the most indebted ministry in Nigeria. Meaning he cannot work without more money. Let me shock you, the most worst governor in Nigeria if given Lagos to administer, he will be a superstar after 4 years. The culture of always looking for those with political experiences had failed usas a country because those experiences have not helped us but only helped them to perfect their embezzlement. Let me repeat again, Emmanuel Macron only had 2 years experience in government and the good people of France said he is fit to be their leader, if it were Nigeria I am cog sure, he won't survive it. They will tell him to his face that two years ministerial experience is not enough to make him president. I know people said same to Obi and Sowore and many presidential candidates. On the agbero, I do believe he would have plan to integrate them into the system. He would not just say he will take them away from roads and not have plan for them. |
