babineli: Get a deed of agreement, make sure the price you quoted reflects in your bank statement. So when explaining the lump sum you'll explain to them and quote the date of the transaction. 1 Like |

Good morning, 1. is there anyone that got study permit immediately after nysc? Most people here have been on jobs for years but this applicant doesn't have a Job at the moment is this a red flag? 2. As a male applicant, will using your daughter as home ties be enough? Not married to the mum though? Has anyone been in this kind of scenario before? If yes how did you overcome this on your application |

JESUSSON1:-My dad stays in the US, he had a closing balance of 32k usd at the time of my application.(his payslip, letter of introduction from employer all included). -My program is an MSC program with a total tuition fee of 25,000CAD, already made of a tuition deposit of 2,000cad meanwhile tuition for the first year only is 21,000cad leaving a balance of 4,000 cad for my second year. -My closing balance as at when i applied was about 4.4M naira, meanwhile i was gifted about 3.5M naira equivalent to 10k cad for my one year living expenses that sum it up to my closing balance been 4.4M naira. The money was transferred from my mums account because my dad doesn’t have a naira account,I got a gift deed to that regard and stating in my SOP that the money was gifted to me by my father but was transferred from my mother’s account and I went further to state on my SOP that the remaining balance of my tuition fee will be remitted to the school’s account each semester of my studies from my dads account using his debit card. At the end of it all got a refusal based on assets and financial situation and the attachment below is my gcms note. Please how best can i tackle the concerns given by the visa officer.

Logically VO is right based on his or her statement. U said that ur Dad is ur sponsor, he then deposited 3.5m to ur acct, which is lower than ur tuition fee and living expenses as a gift. my thinking is that VO assumed that the only money ur dad can afford to give u is that 3.5m. I think u would scaled through if u said that the 3.5m gift came from ur mum instead of ur dad. We should know that there is difference between gift deed and sponsorship. gift deed is a one time thing, with no further obligation. ebelesomto1997: 2 Likes |

I think if ur Dad can pay ur tuition fee and send u ur second yr tuition fee and living expenses as a gift will be cool. ebelesomto1997: |

Are you not in Canada? These are Info you can easily get from ex students if you connect with them. 1. You can only renew your passport in Ottawa. I don't know what province you in, but you need to travel to Ottawa to renew your passport. The good thing right now is you can receive your passport within 2 to 3 weeks. Use this link below to apply and pay for it. Make sure you have your nin and be ready to pay in usd. https://portal.immigration.gov.ng/passport/epassport/ptype/1By1C Make sure you take all the necessary documents you are asked to come with on the day of your appointment. Trust me you won't be allowed in if anything is missed especially the bank draft of 50 cad paid to the Nigeria high commission. I suggest you connect with fellow Nigerians to get more info on this. 2. After you have received your passport, then apply to extend your study permit. Log in to your GCkey and Complete the online “Check your eligibility” questionnaire when you click on the "apply to come to canada" One thing at a time tho. Extend your study permit before thinking of bringing in your spouse Treasure134: |

MrDam:Like someone mentioned, except you have a lot of money and time to throw around, there is really no justification for you to go Canada to study for a program that has no PGWP. However, if you have the financial muscle, you can go ahead. You just need to secure another admission on time and apply for study permit extension. And you might not be ale to maximize the length of your PGWP. It just doesn't pay you. Rather than spend that money, I would advise you to go for a 2-year course that would offer you 3-year PGWP instead. |
