Atiku has to be the worst and most selfish presidential candidate I have ever seen. Man, isn’t even trying to rally supporters for PDP candidates…

Dubai loading..
What has Tinubu done (differently from Atiku) to rally supporters for APC Governorship candidates?

Why do people create a narrative in their head and run wild with it?

I don't even understand people anymore. Once a narrative is created, they run with it even when available evidence screams the opposite. That criticism of Atiku was unfair.

I say sue them.

That way everyone will sit up and ensure their officers have sense.

This is not just about the driver but about the culture of impunity of any drivers or officers attached to lasg ministries

APC can excuse Tinubu for being president elect ( At least until evidences surface that shows Buhari campaigning for any APC governorship aspirant after he had won the 2015 elections ), but same cannot hold water for Atiku and the red-cap fraud of Kano.

Atiku the Dubai man only cares about himself and his life long ambition . E clear pass DSTV

This is why I refuse to go to bank

The one I witnessed yesterday at a filling station weak me.

An Okada man bought fuel 500 naira with the old 1k note, the attendant gave him the old 500 naira note and he rejected it. Las las he bought 1k fuel instead because the attendant refused to give him the new note as change.

Me that did transfer, I waited for over 30mins, money no reflect for their Fidelity bank. I went back home and came back 5hrs later and the money still never show. I had to do another one to one of their employee Palmpay before I could bought fuel. I have to go back there today if the money has reflected so I can collect my cash.

Buhari and Emefiele just dey suffer people unnecessarily.

Atiku stabbed his party in the back in 2015.
Atiku only showed up in late 2018 to seek ticket
Once election and court case were done, the man vanished back to dubai.
He stayed in dubai until 2022.
In another month he will be back to dubai

He is only around to prosecute election, after which he goes back into hibernation.

Not sure how this compares with Tinubu.

This is false though but I understand that believing it makes you happy and fulfilled so it makes sense that you keep saying it.

People did rallies for Abacha and Babangida in this country, why do you think people wouldn't have celebrated Tinubu's victory?

Obi has supporters and is widely loved but the same thing applies to other contestants. It's not hard to see.

Even this morning, I saw like 3 different videos of people in polling units in Akwa Ibom where APC won rejoicing and dancing as the polling officer was counting the votes.

People needs to know the world doesn't revolve around them. You can only talk about your immediate environment.

I know what u are trying to say is that an employer(LASG) can be vicariously liable for the acts of their employee ( the driver ) while in the course of their lawful duty …… However, there are instances where such would not apply and one of those is when the employee is on a frolic of his own .

This particular driver is on frolic cos he disregarded the instructions of his employers to always ensure safety first . Nobody in LASG instructed him to try to run a railway crossing when every other motorists were waiting patiently for the train to pass before they continue their journey .

The best that can come out of this is LASG compensating the victims as a form of social welfare . A court case by any of the affected families against the government won’t fetch them anything . They will be unable to establish a case of vicarious liability against the government in the courts .

The frolic does not count because it was in an lasg vehicle on lasg time.

Also, there is nothing to prove that lasg actually enforces discipline in drivers attached to it.

You see the madness of psp drivers and of lagbus drivers. The unspoken is I be government driver, deal with it.

If a school bus driver crashes a bus and it is clear he is at fault the school is liable.

The worst that can happen to the driver is jail time

I said earlier that lasg imposes a yearly commercial license on commercial drivers in the state. You go and sit through two days of training and videos. Can we confirm this was done? Can we confirm lasg has a record of sanctioning, disciplining and dismissing rogue drivers? Or does everyone just wave it off

I have said at different times that accidents and tragedies never occur in isolation.

It is only by punitive sanctions that organisations can be forced to rewrite their processes to ensure things like this do not happen

This was a totally avoidable tragedy

This is the same lag that may seize my car if I run a red light, after all. Auction cars is punitive punishment for reckless endangermemt.

So what should be the punishment in this case?

No organization instructs its staff not to bey simple traffic rule . The driver will certainly go to jail if it’s confined he doesn’t have any mental issues and the government will of it’s own freewill compensate the victims .

The saving grace is that it is lagos state government and there is no culture of suing lasg

State Governments in the US are sued all the time for actions of police officers

When you have a work related accident that involves death, the liability no be there. You will be running from pillar to post if the family decides to make an issue of it.

We had a death on site and the fines came up to 400m if I recall. That was when we found out about all the rules in the book. And the guy who died went into a tank by himself. No one sent him there. He had no job there.

My former boss is facing same issue now. Someone died on his site. In a tank. A supposed expert. Now regulatory bodies are involved.

It is just because this is a lasg issue. Everyone go die the matter. Same way they are dieing the lagbus rapist case.

If it was a Chrisland bus, the full weight of the law and liability would drop on the school.

That may be only cos in Nigeria rule of law is optional. Normally the state government is liable for his actions, especially when countless witnesses start popping up detailing the numerous times they made complaints about this driver.

In sane societies the employers of the driver will be sued for civil damages and they will have to cough out millions, while the driver himself will face criminal charges and go to jail for a long time.

It’s not always about suing but about proving the case in court . If it can be proven there have been complaints about the driver’s recklessness in the past and nothing was done, then the employer is surely liable .

However if there’s never been any official complaint about the driver to the employers by co-employees who are victim; the employer will alwasy stick to the defence of “frolic” . That’s the point .
