I even got my driver’s license in less than 2months of my arrival.

Some people are lucky getting their work authorization approved in a week or a month some even get next day approval. We just hope things keep moving fast for everyone.

This is just to say a big thank you to everyone esp. Investorteeman and Airboy. Although I am not the candidate, this platform helped me and my fiancé so much! Just reading through questions, positive responses and encouraging words…, cos the pressure of this process is something else, and the long wait period due to the pandemic made matters ten times worse. Alas, he was able to pick up his visa today.

I wish everyone the best, both within the process and in every of life’s endeavor. God bless you all!

Different Strokes for Different Folkes, i think their process is getting faster and perhaps different depending on the state, for me i didnt get my EAD, rather it was my Green Card, but my wait time was 5Months and 6Days . A friend in Maryland as well did not get EAD but her Green Card arrived after 6months and few days of her application.

Different Strokes for Different Folkes, i think their process is getting faster and perhaps different depending on the state, for me i didnt get my EAD, rather it was my Green Card, but my wait time was 5Months and 6Days . Please does anyone here know how I can get a Birth certificate & attestation of birth? Although I stay in Lagos, I was born in Ibadan. Any advice or referral on how to get these would be highly appreciated.

You can visit the NPC office in Surulere (Babs Animashaun street) it shares same compound with the NYSC office in Surulere. There, you will be told all you need but be ready with your Passport Photo, Affidavit (from the court about your birth), Application for the attestation (they might give you a copy to guide you when you get there) and also payment for the attestation. I’m not sure what the price is now but if you visit the office, you will be guided properly.

Good evening everyone, so I have been able to fill the DS-160 form online paid the visa fee and have tried to schedule an interview appointment but I got to this stage and got confused, I have not received any email from the embassy in Lagos, please house I need your advice on this

The website keeps asking me I have received an email from the US consulate in Lagos requesting that I should schedule an appointment for interview, truth is I have not received any mail from the consulate and I'm confused as to whether I should click yes and continue, I have clicked No and it says I can't proceed to schedule the interview, that I should wait till I get the email from the consulate. Please house I need help on this

If your case is ready at the embassy, I suggest you click yes and call the embassy when you have been able to schedule appointment date.

Not all receive the message from the embassy in Lagos ....few of my friends that have interview didn't receive email from embassy ,while some receive but all do interview and get approved ...... You can email Lagos embassy if you are still worry about it ..... www.lagosiv@state.gov

Just go ahead and click yes and find a date.
Either you or your fiancé will receive the email sooner or later, no need to email embassy they can start telling you to wait until you receive the email which will further delay you.

No, after you receive your NOA2 approval notice your case is forwarded to nvc and no longer with uscis then nvc will send email notification or letter sometimes both to either you or your petitioner in most cases the petitioner receives this and it will tell you your case has been forwarded to the embassy and it will also have a case number that will start with LGS so with that you will be able to check the progress of your case with the embassy on ceac website.

Hi guys, my fiancée was supposed to have a interview today after we rescheduled the original one in the CGI portal, she then went to the embassy this morning and was told that her name wasn't on the list of people who were having their interviews today meaning that the embassy stuck with the first interview date which has already passed. She didn't end up having her interview because they wouldn't acknowledge today's appointment. My question is has anyone ever experienced this? It's so frustrating and I'm not sure what to do at this point. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks

Like i always tell people, don't reschedule your visa appointment. I have seen similar case with someone in one platform. Kindly email the emabssy amd explajn youe case to them. Thry might ask you to rebook for another or they get you a date.

Yes ppl have this experience sometimes, during my time one woman was crying coz her name was not on the list due to delay of her medicals while some experience this due to rescheduling.

Pick a date if available then call the embassy to explain your situation and get them to fix up things on their end.

If no date available still call the embassy and explain your situation they will tell you what to do but most cases they say be on the lookout for dates and schedule.

This is not the time for you to be frustrated you are one step away from taking the first phase out of the way.

Don’t worry about it. When you get to the airport, you can get it all done.
