Blueelf: A certain moniker here was convinced that he was the type of striker that would thrive at Liverpool.. Players like Onuachu adapt more in teams that are known to create chance.. Specifically, top teams in their leagues... Genk and Middytland are top teams in their respective countries so it wasn't hard for him there... He is a prolific striker alright, but you need to feed him well to score... If he goes down to the championship with Southampton,he could deliver better there.. Southampton have the quality to dominate the championship 1 Like |

Nigerians are extremely deceived by exceptional performances at lower or backwater league. Yes, orban seems like a talented youngster, but he is still at the lower hierarchy level by the virtue of his league. In his position, there is Osimhen, Moffi, iheanacho, Okereke, Sadiq all playing at a higher level and if he plans on replacing them now, he has to sign for a better league.. I am never deceived by lower league performance because I donāt rate it even though, the player might be talented. A player like onuachu was a top scoring king in Belgium and hasnāt even scored one goal for Southampton this season. Can you imagine someone saying an Epl proven striker āiheanachoā should be dropped for a Belgium league striker? 3 Likes |

Talented youngsters should be kept closely viewed but donāt suggest that they should replace players at the big 3 because theyāre scoring goals in a week league. Let them come and perform in the big 3 if they want to bench big 3 players. |

As for me, we should skip the long story. Invite Gift Orban to the Super Eagles camp. Let him train with them. If he performs well, draft him into the team. We like waiting in this country. If he is good enough, he is ready. 7 Likes |

Danielnino00: Typical Nigerians suggesting an imbalanced squad. In your mind, you believe that the midfield is irrelevant when you select 8 forwards and 8 defenders and 4 midfielders only to be thought a lesson when competing against a midfield valuable team. I thought that we have stopped this imbalanced squad mindset 1 Like |

The Nigerian international has never hidden his desire to play in the English Premier League Former Napoli striker Gianluca Savoldi has expressed his disappointment with the recent comments made by Victor Osimhen regarding his ādream moveā to the Premier League. Speaking on TMW Radioās āPiazza Affariā show as per Tutto Napoli, Savoldi suggested that the Nigerian striker should have waited a little longer before making such comments, given the current situation at the club. āNaples is a city that thrives on football,ā said Savoldi. āJust imagine what is happening right now. If I know Spalletti, he didnāt jump for joy hearing this statement either.ā Osimhen joined Napoli from Lille in a club-record deal in 2020 but struggled with injuries and form in his first two seasons in Italy. But the Super Eagles striker has reached stratospheric levels this term, netting 19 Serie A goals. His brilliance has attracted interest from abroad, with Manchester United and Chelsea reportedly leading the pack of admiring English suitors. While Napoli insists the club is not under any financial pressure to sell their best players this summer, Osimhenās recent comments have energised the rumour mills. In a recent video on Sky Sports, Osimhen expressed his desire to play in the Premier League, saying: āIām working so hard to make sure that I achieve my dream of playing in the Premier League one day.ā Savoldi, however, believes that such comments may not be well received by the Napoli faithful, especially given the current situation at the club. Napoli are currently the runaway leader in Serie A and are favourites to land a first Scudetto title in more than three decades. āIt is human that Osimhen has the dream of going to play in the Premier League,ā said Savoldi. āPerhaps, however, waiting a few weeks for these declarations would have made his words less noisy.ā 2 Likes |

You too dey spit nonsense for mouth. You will remove a player that scored 17 goals in that same league for another with just 7? Onauchu gave a man of the man performance against Chelsea and does score hattrick regularly in that same league. So dead that silly talk. Onuachu not starting the last two games has nothing to do with form but the coach trying to satisfy the players who have been in the team for long. No Edozie, Aribo too. So rest kid! Marjoribanks: Orban over Onuachu... If e pain you, go and sit down in the bush... There's nothing Onuachu would offer us that Osimhen and Moffi won't...but Orban offers us a good set piece option.. Una too dey pay attention to goals thereby ignoring every other qualities in a player... That was what made some people here say Onuachu and Simmy were better strikers than Osimhen back then .. Stop throwing insults at people unprovoked... It's children that behave that way . Are you a child? 1 Like |
