Hello there, Gurus. my first time here. I desperately need someone to educate me. I was accepted for a master's degree at Lethbridge University in the fall of 2023. Despite the fact that the offer stated that I could apply for my study permit with the admission letter, I still had to meet the GMAT requirement and pay a tuition deposit of $500CAD. Kindly advise if I can proceed with the study permit application. I am actually terrified of my GMAT, which requires a minimum score of 600. Please advise, elders. 1 Like |

Go ahead and apply for your study permit. It's probably the Management program but note that if you don't meet the score - they will cancel the admissions even if you have a study permit approved! damyzel: 1 Like |

It's not mandatory provided she will not have any job to do with kids as a nanny or teaching children or any care job or social welfare/worker. Those jobs a character sensitive so that will be required. Bamz555: |

I got admission and my admission letter clearly stated that it cannot be used for visa purpose. I need to pay my school fees to be able to get LOA but form A is taking forever and my admission is been threatened to be cancelled. What I need now is a college that I need to pay small amount to hold my seat and that can give me LOA and enough time to be able to pay my fees. My current school only gave me one month and my deadline has passed Tolifefun: |

1. You could show your parent’s bank statement to show their stability and perhaps how long these monies have been in their account and most importantly the source of these monies and so they could trace that the transfer actually came from them. As you know you’ll be showing the transfer forms, transaction receipts Or cheque issued to you in support of the transfer made as gift. 2. It’s recommended that you send webforms only after the advertised processing times have passed. Gl Shrunkwriter: |

Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 22 by Reach2me: 8:45am On Mar 14, 2023 |
damyzel: Didn’t you check their requirements for the course before applying? GMAT exam fee is expensive. Around 200k. Coupled with the fact there’s no certainty of getting that high score. I believe there’s a deadline for the fee deposit too. Imagine paying the deposit and God forbid not being able to meet the cut off for the GMAT which means you haven’t met the conditions of the offer and as a result they withdraw the offer of admission. Wouldn’t that be more terrifying? Cause if that happens you have to forfeit the 500 dollars already paid also. My little advice for you is to look for another school that doesn’t require GMAT. There is still time to do that rather than being in a haste and getting shot on the leg. |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 22 by Reach2me: 8:52am On Mar 14, 2023 |
dawnomike: Trent University? Don’t try Trent oooo. They don’t give decisions on time for international students. They make you wait. I applied since last year December and just got an offer of admission on 9th March, when it was too late. In addition, they will surprise you with fees on the letter of acceptance 😂 they didn’t update their site. A course of about 46k on their website for two years changed to 70k on the offer letter. So my little advice, if you’re targeting Fall 2023, have it in my mind they will most likely delay you and secondly, if you’re considering cheap schools, Trent will shock you with the inflation on the offer. Your choice! |
