If they had given Obi the ticket with a strong Northern politician like Tambuwal. They would have won hands down but they greedily gave the ticket to corrupt Atiku and picked a sitting governor as vice to fund their campaign. Very poorly thought out move, now they have lost a large chunk of the south, it's only a matter of time before they lose the north too

At least Tambuwal can still influence the northern voters to vote along ethnic and religious lines better than Datti. For Obi to ever have any chances of winning in the north, his running mate must be a strong politician from the core north not the barely known politician from the midbelt he picked.

Lol Tinubu won just two NW states, Jigawa and Zamfara. Atiku won four; Kaduna, Katsina, Kebbi and Sokoto. Kwakwanso won Kano. What helped Tinubu is that Atiku won with a very small margin in those NW states compared to the clear gapping he gave Atiku in south west states except Osun

I disagree with Reno. I called it out on nairaland that Obi's only hope is a rerun....he never had the spread...if he got the christian votes he could force a rerun....he tried but failed....

Atiku actually has no path to victory.....because his strategy was northern votes.....unfortunately for him Kwankwaso and northern governors did not buy it coupled with G5 that were either working for Obi or Tinubu.....

It was clear that many Christians felt that after 8 years of a Muslim a christian should become President. Obi got many of those votes......


I think Tinubu won because he was destined to win.....with the evil naira redesign policy it was down to chance and destiny
