Abass07: If Nigeria was going to get better, it would have been better by now Instead, what we have are political leaders who come in and say they are going to pave the streets of Nigeria with gold. All they do is spend 4 or 8 years there, as the case may be, and leave the place worse than they met it 1 Like |

gidgiddy:It's saddening. You feel sorry for Nigeria especially when you are outside the country. Where did we get it wrong? |

Nigeria will get better when the masses grow pass tribalism, bigotry and religious fanaticism. Everyone just love deceiving themselves in this country. People know the problems but they pretend. They should continue voting misfits and expecting things to change. When urchins becomes and elder, they then train their kids to be urchins too. In this modern era we still have bigots saying Igbos will never be president and their parents said it too. Those kind of people are a nuisance to the country. 2 Likes |

9japride:I believe we are getting there. If a structure less party can get these amount of votes within few months of campaign, it's actually something to reckon with. In my opinion, I don't think last election was about some people's hatred towards a particular ethnic group. Obi actually got enough votes in SW. I think what he needs to do is to restrategize and prepare for next elections. He shouldn't go into hiding within the next 4 years, he should build a formidable opposition party and try to improve his stand in the North. 2 Likes |

Abass07: Yea I understand. Though, I was making reference to some shallow people who believe they own Nigeria and yet they are not useful to the overall development of the country. The hatred is there, since after the civil war there hasn't been any serious talk of unity and reconciliation. The Obi movement was massive, if this kind of movement started a long time ago, by now majority of the politicians will sit up. Presently, no accountability and the worst part is that people still encourage them to continue. Obi can reach out to the northerners. Though, I doubt if the north are ready for any sincere relationship with the south. Normally, the north suppose to be a country of their own just like Niger, Chad etc. They don't really reason like the south. They are mostly influenced by religion. It's just like saying Iran will be good friends with Israel. The main thing holding everyone is just oil/gas. 1 Like |

Nigeria indeed will get better and stronger because as we go further on this path. Opportunities for people to display their contributions for growth and development will occur. States will also get to a point where development will be there |
