Itsrm: The question is did Buhari encourage Corruption unlike Jonathan that was directly involved in corruption. Like this below. On September 22, 2011, Mrs. Okonjo Iweala said: “Those who usually go to see the President at night will no longer be allowed to do so. If they have any (waiver) proposal, it must be presented to the Economic Team.” 1 Like |

monerozi5590: Do u think u are talking to a dunce here ? Jonathan allowed Diezani do whatever she likes but Buhari didn’t allow AGF steal 109 billion naira under his nose ? Niggga the AGF literally stole money using IPPIS , TSA etc . For ur information IPPIS was conceptualized in 2006 and has been in use since 2007/2008. E reach under buhari IPPIS turn money spinner for AGF . Yet u say Buhari fought corruption . Lmao 🤣. U don’t even know how u sound 4 Likes 1 Share |

BlueRayDick: Buhari wey be say dey steal money from the source gan gan. The level of stealing in this apc government is evil. With PDP you can even manage to make the excuse that they stole and things were still flowing. These guys stole to the point our oil production dropped. Again... A super tanker entered our waters, loaded crude oil and left.. This is just 1 ooo.. People in the ND region have been raising alarm about the level of stealing in the apc government. I hope monerozi5590 doesn't think I'm trying to convince him sha |

BlueRayDick: What did Buhari did to him. Was he not sacked after the allegations unlike Jonathan that sacked whistleblower instead of the culprit. Buhari cannot encourage corruption. You are the one that don't know how you sound. Jonathan was corrupt and the most corrupt You are the one that don't know he you sound 3 Likes |

OasisX: Oh. Akan Udofia, the Akwa Ibom APC Governorship candidate. -Self-made billionaire businessman. -Very intelligent. -The third youngest of all of the candidates. -One of the key brains behind Ibom Air. -Has the top 3 best manifestoes. -Seen as a clean slate so loved. -Was in the PDP until after the primaries. -On a personal level, my top 2 of the candidates. But his campaign has been derailed by: -Buhari's SSA who until last week has been battling him in court; -Not having Akpabio's cult following to counter the animosity against the APC, and; -The money Udom has set aside for the election is scary. Plus Akan Udofia has been turning down appointments since Akpabio's time as governor so I don't know if he'd take up at the federal level in the future. |

Itsrm: Mentioned names of people and types of corruption. I want to understand you very well. Infrastructure Buhari pass Jonathan. I don't need Google for this. Social Investment Programme. Buhari pass am. I don't need Google for this. Encouraging Local production. Buhari pass am. Agricultural Revolution, Buhari pass am. About 13 million jobs was created because of that and so many industries sprang up unlike Jonathan that killed Local production. Watin Jonathan pass Buhari for, make una talk. Nigerians were enjoying subsidy on imported goods and they think it was all Jonathan. Never knew Jonathan was spending money recklessly instead of addressing that. We ate our money on one day without thinking about tomorrow. 3 Likes |

The only president who can be said to have done anything about corruption was Obj. At the very least I remember how tafa balogun was summarily punished Under gej, there were zero consequences for numerous scandals. One of the reasons Buhari was voted in was because we expected zero tolerance for corruption. That did not happen. Both Buhari and gej failed woefully as far as tackling corruption is concerned. 4 Likes |

ShaqFu:Joe, I just saw your mention about the $618 million for startups in Nigeria by the afDB partnering with the FGN. I read it on AfDB website too. The plan began in 2018 around the time Osinbajo began networking with tech industry players for the Nigerian Startup Act. See why Osinbajo would have made a good President if given the chance? The I-DICE $618 million would have even begun implementation (money-wise and networking-wise) since September 2022 but Buhari foolishly removed Osinbajo from heading the NEC. The AfDB is ready but Nigeria isn't. https://projectsportal.afdb.org/dataportal/VProject/show/P-NG-K00-009 I' don't see anyone else who's really as passionate about aiding and growing tech startups like Osinbajo. And that's our best chance of increasing GDP as a country while cutting down on oil theft. |

monerozi5590: We have all agreed Jonathan's government was a corrupt one; people from the north, south, east and west have agreed on this based on evidences available on the free internet. The problem is u sounding like Buhari's government is any better. U make it seem like people are not stealing in broad daylight under Buhari and u come up with the bullshiiit that Buhari fought corruption and corruption fought back. Like seriously ? If u want to put a defence up, make it make sense na! |

GloriousGbola: Social Investment Programme is like a palliative. It has so many categories. People earn skills and earn as well. Mostly to Nigerian Youths. It is fair in selection. Lemme give you few Local production in my locality. Feed Mill here in Kaduna. Owned by Olam. Job is created. Tomato processing plant here also in Kaduna. We have Steal producing plant too here in Kaduna. The first working Steal plant in Nigeria after Ajeokuta Steal. Ajeokuta Steal ain't working anymore. These are just few oh. My points is Buhari has his bad sides too. As we are condemning him for the bad let's also praise him for the good. No government since 1999 has constructed more roads than Buhari. Fact. Despite low revenue. 1 Like |

monerozi5590: are you conflating elrufais initiatives with buharis initiatives? there is a rice mill in Lagos. it is a Lagos state initiative unless the FG subiidised or funded the steel mill in Kaduna - i dont se how Buhari can take credut for it as for social investment programs what comes to mind is the Zainab Usman proudly announcing n5000 monthly stipends. |

GloriousGbola: You are missing the point sir. Government policies encourage Local production. Like not giving waiver to compete with goods that the locals are producing. That's the point. Read how Kano oil died. It died because of competition from foreign goods. Jonathan provided waiver for that despite people saying he should not do it that it will affect that company. We have done this discussion before sir. I will end it here. |
Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by GloriousGbola: 8:10am On Mar 17, 2023 |
the summary [for me] is that both gej and buhari left this country in a worse state than they met it how much of that can be tied to external factors and how much of that can be tied to personal competence is debatable but in the end, neither of them added much value to nigeria or the lives of nigerians |
