Okay, so I do ehailing as part of my hustle.

I carried this young guy Patrick Edache with phone number 08024476527 from Jara Mall, Simbiat Abiola Way, Ikeja, to Pedro, Shomolu and later to Ilaje, Bariga.

The total trip amount was 3500 naira. The guy tried sending the money through his mobile app but it wasn't going through or he was lying.

The next thing, he told me that he has done it through USSD. This is the worst means people use to run a transfer scam on others knowing fully well that USSD doesn't have transaction receipt except a debit alert which might take a longer time to come.

I left him and believed that my money will come but it never came. I called him and he asked that I should resend my account details.

I did multiple times. Sent him several messages on WhatsApp but he stopped picking my calls and responding to my WhatsApp messages.

It was then I knew he deliberately never sent any money nor mean to send any money.

Why do some Nigerians take advantage of any little opportunity to scam their fellow citizens. A lot of people have lost money to transfer scam and reversed transactions due to this cashless policy issue.

The Patrick guy has his shop in Computer Village at 5, Adepele Street, Medical Road (i.e., Simbiat Abiola Way). He goes with the nickname, Patrick Gadgets.

Please, anyone has an idea how best to get this guy to pay me my money. Any one here selling at Computer Village? Or a police officer in the building?

It's so unfortunate that people do this type of thing to their fellow citizens and there's no easy way to get your money from these criminals that will enjoy your services without paying for it.

Below is his business flyer

The guy is just evil. Every soon now you will hear people shouting buhari. I did a transfer of 3,500 to a pos 2 days ago. The woman gave me the money out of trust. Collected my number. I was calling every hour to know how far.
It was 1'0clock yesterday that the money eventually entered her account. And he called to notify me.
Another person I bought something from, his own was reversed. So I asked for his account no and sent the money back. Shikena.

This is why scammers are having a field day. If he gets scammed again then he should move on and the circus continues.

My sister bought items worth 112k from the market and made a transfer.

The following morning, the money was reversed and she had to call the business to resend the money.

The first question the guy asked when I called to tell him that I have not received my money was "Do you live around here.?"

I knew he asked that question to know the possibility and ease of me coming to look for him.

Except you are seeking for attention, there's no lesson learned here.

In this situation, there's nothing I can do. I still let people go on trust because staying until you get alert would mean doing one trip for 3 hours.

You're not smart to read in between thw lines in my message.
Well, Since you have no lesson to learn, go about the entire NL, FB, Twitter, Tiktok and open threads telling everyone how dumb you acted. Even market women are smarter. The truth is that you have little or nothing to do. Learn to be smart.

Just imagine. So he wants to run with the 112k? That's why you can't trust anybody with money. Is like there is a spirit in money that makes even the perfected to become imperfect.

It was my sister that got a reversal. She called the store to pay the money again
