When tracking my international passport after the very first day I did capturing on February 13th 2023 all stages where all marked except production pending but I just checked today 15th march 2023 and the ones that has been marked is no more marked...please what's going on... I also captured at Festac on the 7th and mine is showing the same thing as yours presently. I read here that it is a technical issue from their website. Please is yours DIY or an agent is involved? Because I am still expecting mine after six weeks. I am renewing my passport not new one.

Anyone from Festac who captured February and has collected should please quote me. My tire is tired for waiting this long!

Give yourself two more months, I'm not saying this to discourage you but to reduce your expectations of getting the passport soon, either DIY or not.

If you pay 45-50k you'll still have to wait for 2 and half months minimum.

An officer told me to get my passport in two weeks or so I'll have to pay nothing less than 100k.

There's nothing to worry about, before I collected mine two days ago, it was showing unmarked also and even till now after collection, still the same, it's a technical glitch from their website/server, just ignore, it'll return to normal.

It would be unfair not sharing my experience here, I learnt all I did on here.

My experience at Alimosho center on 14/02/2023. I got there quarter to 10, I met a guy at the gate who asked for my purpose and i inquired to know his business with what I came to to do..

Got into the hall met one Officer 👮‍♀️ Tunde who also asked for my purpose which I narrated to him, he then requested for 3500 to open a file as per DIY and another 5500 to push it in. I was like fun ki ni (For what) He then said I should call anybody I know that is the modus operandi. I ignored him went to meet another Officer Adeyemo and told him my purpose as per DIY, he pointed at an officer BELLO at servicecom (Seated at one corner). I told him I have an appointment to.. before I could land he requested for my documents, vetted the documents and asked me to write an application which I did, he then asked me to seat.

After about 10minutes I went to meet him he told me he’s about taking my file inside. The officer BELLO was extremely polite and professional.

I waited for about 30 minutes before I was called for capturing. After capturing I was given a paper with my name and sum numbers.

Before leaving the hall I tracked my application, passport production in progress.

I didn’t spend a dime till I left about 12noon.

I had somewhat similar experience at Alimosho yesterday 15/03/2023. Thanks to guys who gave the timely address to the center yesterday.
I got there past 1, and the security man asked for appointment slip. He also asked for my account officer, I told him had none. After gaining access into their compound, another guy asked for my appointment slip, and he told me to go inside. Nobody asked for financial inducement from me.
On getting into the main hall where people are sitted, ready to be captured, I saw the same man, Mr Bello. He asked me to go and get a white file outside, and a woman who run printing business was able to do everything for me. She sold white file to me, and perforated the file with my name written on it.
I gave the file back to Mr Bello, and checked everything, after that, he told me to go and sit down. I sat for hours before I was called for capturing. I did everything without hassle. One thing I note about Mr Bello is that, He doesn't take non sense. I saw him telling his colleagues that anyone that is not scheduled for a particular day should not come for capturing. Some of his colleagues are collecting money and doing sort of things for people.
Any time people are shouting and angry, he would come and douse the tension with sweet words. The man is such a great servant.

I will not advise to go there without registering online. Register online and follow the instructions. It is self explanatory. Go to their website and fill the form. Everything is there .

I was about to pay yesterday when a friend who collect his own yesterday told me to rearrange the name on my nin card.

This is the issue, my name is Obi(native name), Jason(baptisimal name) and Okoro(family/surname).

I have been using Obi as my first name, Jason as middle name and Okoro as last name. Which is the way everything is on my documents but I noticed the arrangement on nin printout and passport is different.

I need an advice from someone who is experienced in this please.

Since you're yet to pay, I'd advise you rearrange the names on your NIN to tally with the ones on your (school/govt/hospital) documents and use same on your passport too.

This way, you're automatically eliminating future and present problems the name arrangement could cause.

I seems not understand your question. Is your name arrangement on your NIN different from other document you have? If Yes, adjust your NIN names to correlate with the way you have been arranging your names.

So I decided to visit ikoyi passport office since I have not heard from them.
I did my capturing in nov, 2022 and lo and behold I collected it today..
Meanwhile on their website.. Its saying production pending..
Only to check date of issue and its stated 29th of nov, 2022. Does this mean my passport was ready since last year?

But the thing is, the way nin arranged people's names is different from that of immigration site(passport application site), this made my friend to tell me to arrange it the way it is on the passport application site.


For example, let's say my names are
A for first name
B for middle name
C for last name

On nin printout, it is written as C A B

While in immigration website i.e passport application form it is written as A B C.

But they are all correct.

My question now is, is there any need to now change my nin name format CAB to be the same as that of the passport application form which is ABC, or vice versa?
Note: Trying to do that may change my first name for my middle name, or vice versa on any of the documents.


Should I just proceed with the payment as long as the names are correct without minding how it is placed on any of the two docs?

Ever since I come of age, I have been the one filling any of my official doc, and I do fill all the names the same way.

The only ones I'm not sure about among all of my documents are my birth certificate and my local government identification certificate i.e state of origin certificate, because my parents were the ones that filled that when I was young.

You can also check my response to the other person to understand better.

If I adjust my nin name format, it will affect all my official documents, including academical ones.

Though, my 3 names are on my birth certificate and LGA certificate but the arrangement is, my surname first, middle name second and first name last. Like I said, I don't know the one my parents used as my first name or middle name.
Can I swear an affidavit to cover for the birth certificate and state of origin certificate i.e local government certificate since I'm sure of all the other documents?
